Still plenty of Now & Then at the shop for those interested.

I hope they do another cask version of BHA in the tap room. I had it there a while back for this release (which was in bombers also) and the cask version with extra Citra added was delicious!

As for Now and Then now I would rather go back to then and talk my self out of purchasing Now and Then. I hope this improves with a week or two on it. Fun to try 1 of, but think I bought too many 4 packs... Ticks the sweet box and kind of an orange flavor bordering on rind or an orange cleanser. Decent mouthfeel, but leaves me wanting more as it feels like it is missing complex flavors of modern IPAs. Not bad, not remarkable, but definitely different.

I'm actually loving Now & Then. Super juicy, slightly sweet, and somewhat soft. I think it's a welcomed deviation from HA's standard, clean, dry, hoppy beers.

Finishing up my first 4pk and I've found that letting this beer warm up a bit more than I typically do for IPAs seems to bring out the best in it. The first one I had I drank much too cold and since that one I've enjoyed this beer much more. Cheers.

Funny you mention that. I picked mine up at HA on my way out of town for the weekend. I drank my first one straight from the can at the hotel, which was pulled from their cooler and kept in a flimsy picnic cooler with no ice for about 5 hours. It was slightly less than room temp, and I had to refrain myself from jumping on here to praise it. Figured I should at least wait til I properly cooled it and poured it into a glass. Which I still highly enjoyed, but yeah, I preferred the slightly warmer version.

This description almost sounds like an IPA style that originates in the area first colonized by English people in the 18th century...but I don't think you're allowed to name that style in a Half Acre thread...

I agree it's a nice deviation from the heavier DIPAS which I have grown to enjoy. Juicy galore without the bitter bite.

Through the years I've always found that HA hoppy beers need to be warmer than most ipas. The first 3-4 year they were extremely grainy tasting when pulled from a cooler or fridge. They've greatly improved that annoyance, but it seems like they shape these beers around a warmer peak temperature for optimal flavors than most.

Upon drinking my second Now and Then, this tastes completely like a 3 Floyds beer I've had in the past year. I can't remember which one it was, but the pronounced orange flavor hops and body are spot on with it.

I had Now and Then - loved it. Maybe I've just had too many NE IPAs. But it was great having an IPA with a more traditional texture, lower level of bitterness, but still tastes like an IPA. Hopefully they make this again down the road.

Anyone hear any new rumblings of the opening date for the new Balmoral spot? A couple weeks back it sounded like it might be open by now but haven't heard anything new.

Haven't heard or read much about it but I think that's where the Big North event is taking place this year. That might be the grand opening of sorts.
