Police officer just came and told everyone in line that there are no left turns on to rt 20. And don’t turn around in any near by business unless you’re giving them business.

Also, There’s a paved walk way for the line now. Wraps around the parking lot

I'm sure the police love spending their time on brewery matters.

Be sure to tell the Charlton police that they don't do anything next time you are down in the area.

Those police are probably on a detail that TH pays for...

I kinda get that they don't want people turning left INTO Tree House, but I find it ridiculous that we can't turn left going out of Tree House. Allow that and all the turning around problems are solved.

Yeah, a TH crew member came out 15 min later and reiterated what the officer had said. He had said that they pay them every day they are open to work a detail

For one, left turns across two lanes of a highway are dangerous.

Two, cars waiting to make a left turn creates a backup, which in turn causes fewer cars to exit, preventing fewer new cars to enter.

This is not a new phenomenon.

Cops on paid detail, town selectmen looking at plenty of new tax revenue, I'm sure they all really hate having Tree House in town.

Seriously, don't the cops make something like double their regular hourly rate for special details like this? And I'm sure it's far less hazardous than some of their other days at work...

And yeah, the MA beer excise tax is $0.11 per gallon produced... so that's about $1500-$2000 PER WEEK that TH is paying in taxes.

    I'd say it's a rare win-win-win

Last week left turns into Tree House were allowed, has it changed? Understandable if it has, I remember when Rt.1 wasn't divided in the Foxboro stretch. Seemingly every time you'd drive it you'd pass an accident from someone making a left across 2 lanes of traffic into a parking lot.

This bums us out too and we are really sorry. We do have to follow MA law and policy, and can not accept expired IDs.

TH makes it impeccably clear on their website that you must provide a current and valid photo ID. No exceptions. The sense of entitlement is never ending.

Everybody, please remember this before the long drive and long lines.

He does have a point tho.....

The handful of times I've been to TH I can only really remember getting carded a couple times.

Sounds like Haze will be running out shortly.

The early birds and lines will not be ending anytime soon due to this.

Not really. His friend didn't have valid ID in a state where authorities periodically stage sting operations to ensure age requirement compliance. It's unfortunate (especially if she only realized her ID was expired when they pointed it out to her) but if they start indulging noncompliant customers they'll most likely get nailed for it eventually.

Yea I've been carded maybe twice in like 25ish visits, but it is what it is. You shouldn't let your license expire before renewing it and can't expect service with an expired ID.

Not getting beer due to ID is much better then her getting bagged driving there without an ID. Take your punches and move on.
