650+ cases of BBORO, no need to get worried, it will hit distro too. Just making the weekend fun for those that make the trek. Last few bottle releases have been very calm. Bonus barrel aged bottles have been part of the bottle release dates for years now.

Well, I go back to work the week after, so if I don't make it down then, not sure if/when it'll happen. It's more the room than anything else. Maybe I'll see if I can find some folks that wanna split a room.

Considering the quality of the JO products I happily pay them. For all of them. Their pricing is in line with Cycle, CCB, Bruery, etc. And many of the JO products I've had are far superior IMO. Not all. But many for sure.

There really isn't any other brewery regionally I can think of that puts out the same quality for the price. Founders, Three Floyds (those $50 BA beers tho). Bells? They are probably closest to price/quality.

Yeah, JO's pricing is right where it should be. Don't like it? There's plenty of Kentucky Ale out there. It's aged for up to 6 weeks in some of Kentucky's finest.

Wow! That's a substantial savings over the last time I stayed there.

    Thanks for the head's up!!!

I saw a post on Instagram or Facebook (can't remember which) mentioning that there will still be calendar pages being handed out Sat morning (assuming they don't all go Fri night) for the uptown bottle release.

Is there a defined cutoff time Sat to get in on the release, or is it just when pages run out? Thanks.

pages don't run out, we just start another calendar. Cut off is 11am when the sales starts on Saturday. 60 different drafts!

Looks like I better get there early on Sat then. Can't wait for that draft list.

For what it's worth that what I almost always do early Saturday and I've only gotten shut out on one bottle. Showing up Friday really only helps you get out earlier or puts you in better position for the second (leftovers) sale. Although some of the Friday only drafts hurt to miss, just too hard to swing back to back days or an overnight for me. Thanks go to brad for setting allotments and spreading the wealth.

Good to know that has worked without getting shut out.

I agree - tough to do a 2-nighter, both due to hotel costs and to just dedicating the time to it. I'm mainly going to get BB Oro, but if I can catch the other bottles as well, that'd be a big bonus. At the very least - sounds like there will be plenty of good stuff on tap to enoy.

When I called and asked about the rate they actually said it was $82 dollars for the Jackie O's rate, so maybe some people will get lucky and save even more!

Anyone know if there is Uber from Jackie O's to nearby hotels in Athens? I'm getting zero estimates from some of the Uber estimator sites. Thanks.

I can't speak to Uber, but I've used Green Cab multiple times and maybe even the other service. So there definitely is a way to get to/from Union St. to other locations. (I usually stayed a bit away at the HIE by the ramp. A few years back, I want to say a trip ran $7-10, but don't quote me.)

Last time, I stayed at OU Inn and walked it. It's certainly not a terrible hike, but not one you'd want to make while carrying beers. (At least in my mind.)

There is no uber in Athens. Just cab services. I use Green Cab, 740-59GREEN

I will be trekking back to Virginia and passing through Columbus on Sunday. Sounds like I will be detouring in Athens for some of that BBORO. Any excuse to check out JO's.

Jackie O's, Bagel Street Deli, or Fluff. Can't go wrong.
