I loved Stump when I had it mid last year, but I think they released it again this year and it was completely different. But I'd love more NE style pales in general.

With the temps in Sac pushing 100 everyday, I am on board with this. NE Pales in that 6%-7% spot. Rotate some hop varieties... Winner in the summer.

It would be solid if they did something like Trillium's "Small Bird Series" (lower ABV offerings brewed for the summer). Had a few cans of Stumpy Duck a couple weeks ago and I thought it was perfect!

On the other hand, beers like Casa De Citra are also great for summer!

Is it just me or am I seeing a lot of DIPA's coming out lately from everywhere? Like you guys, I'm not sure if DIPA is the way to go right now with this blazing hot weather.

    Yes, DIPAs everywhere!!!!!

But Fieldwork does hit with the variety also. Out of the 4 cans being released this week..... LAGER, Tart Breakfast Ale, IPA & DIPA.

Beers on tap today at FW for drafts or fills also include a Belgian PA, Belgian GA, Blonde Ale, Brown Ale, Gose and a Porter.

Something for almost every range of taste or outside temp.

A lot of dipas everywhere but many have been pretty crushable. King Citra? It goes down smoother than most single IPAs of yesteryear.

Hit Fieldwork Sacramento at lunch today.

Casa de Citra Lager was really good. Hit the spot. Streets Ahead IPA and Destination Unknown DIPA were ok. A little astringent and the alcohol came through more than other NE styles from FW.

King Citra was GREAT. Still one of my favorites. More Betterness WC IPA was good.

Does it taste anything like Sushi Beer? If I remember correctly, that one was a Citra lager also...I remember it being really refreshing.

Showed up in Berkeley hoping to get Paulie vs Steve and Destination Unknown cans. Turns out Destination is tomorrow, but the Paulie was better than I expected. Was also pleasantly surprised with Streets Ahead - this is a really solid version of an almost "Unfiltered West Coast" IPA. Crowler in tow as I walk out lol

Hearing amazing things about destination ahead and sad it's not on tap for me to try. I'd have to really risk pissing off my wife to be here at 11am to grab cans tomorrow, since it's her sister's baby shower in Sonoma at 12:30 (co-ed baby shower, wtf?!).

Otherwise, they have the beer that introduced me to fieldwork, Ascender, on tap and it never disappoints.

Missed the Paulie vs Steve cans, since I didn't want to anger the wife (too many cans in the fridge!). Hopefully I can try it on tap if the taps last.

I never had the Sushi Beer so can't comment there. Casa is a nicely hopped (aromatic) lager. Very refreshing with a really nice aroma!

Just gotta say this growler fill of Destination Unknown is insane. Tons of pungent tropical fruit. Probably the first time I'm getting jackfruit out of a NEDIPA.

Really disappointed I'm missing the release today. Destination ahead getting rave reviews and when I tried Streets Ahead yesterday it was really good.

I want to say that it was extra tasty, but I had it towards the end of the VIP session and I was doing mighty fine by then.

Hit up Berkeley last night and damn was Destination Unknown tasting good. I think they really hit it out the park with this one. Had a Set Sail - which was good and a Treasure Hands - which I really enjoyed. Had a taster of the Shelter Rat and... this one is not for me.

Finally got a DU from a friend and this shit is awesome! I mean it's somehow juicy and dank with no sweetness at all. Love it.

But I will keep beating my dead horse if wishing these amazing DIPA can releases could be under 7%.

It's why I love that Alpha Acid release from this week MTHBWY. I drank 3 the other night lol
