NE IPAs in Ohio?

R. Shea has a rotating series of NEIPA's that have ranged from good to outstanding

Outside of that, I would say Platform, but I haven't had any of theirs and have seen meh reviews.

 

A couple in Cincinnati are making some. Listermann is probably the most known but Streetside and Woodburn have done some.

R. Shea's NE IPAs are fantastic, highly recommend.

 

At R Shea and Bottlehouse respectively.

 

I don't know why anyone would be concerned with NEIPAs while in Ohio. Ohio has a lot of the best true IPAs in the country.

Fat Heads Head Hunter, Hop Juju
Brew Kettle White Rajah

Drink all of those a few dozen times first.

 

Because he specifically asked for NEIPA's...? Not sure why Ohio folks feel the need to bring head hunter and bodhi into every damn NEIPA convo.

 

I brought up Head Hunter and Bodhi because I assumed he's looking for the best hoppy beers in the state and doesn't realize he's starting in the wrong place by asking for NEIPAs.

I mean is talking about Bodhi really more worn out than talking about NEIPAs? Just look at the front page of the Great Lakes forum.

OP, you can only get R Shea and BottleHouse stuff at the breweries, but both places have either crowlers (R Shea) or bottles (BH) of their IPA's to go.

 

I wouldn't say the thread is ruined. I'm just trying to clear things up.

Maumee Bay Brewing in Toledo came out with Fake Juice, it was delicious, but it was taproom only.

 

I see a thread for Chicago and Michigan NE IPA's, and that is about it.
I'm glad someone started an OH NE IPA thread.

WTF?!?

 

Hoof Hearted thread counts, Mikerphone thread counts, Transient thread counts. There's probably a couple more I'm missing. Those guys aren't all in those threads discussing Helles Lager.

 

Why does Transient count? Do they make some hazy ipas? Yes, but they also make some that are not hazy. They also make saisons, wilds, pilsners, and awesome stouts. I would not consider a discussion of a brewery with a well rounded line-up to count as haze only.
