I've only been able to find La Roja near me :slight_frown:
Although I suppose I could look harder, because they do distribute to Illinois I think.

We're kind of splitting hairs here, as I've never had a JP brew that fell short of delicious. Nobody's said it yet, so I'm going to give my vote for Baudelaire IO. Awesome beer!

Biere de mars and Maracaibo for the win!
Aged La Roja is also damn good.

La Roja and Noel are my favorites hands down.

Oro and Madrugada always seem to impress me as well.

    Oro
    Fuego
    Maracaibo

And I'm surprised no one's mentioned Luciernaga yet. Great BPA.

Madrugada Obscura is my favourite. It's like nothing else I've ever tasted. Possibly the most unique from JP.

OP is it too late to edit a poll in the thread?

I really enjoyed Oro and Noel De Calabaza.

I love Baudelaire IO & Luciernaga but I've yet to be disappointed by any JPs. The first 10 responses yielded 10 different preferences = different strokes... Get one of each (should only cost you $100 or so) and decide for yourself. I'm envious of your palate. I wish I was about to begin exploring the deliciousness of JP beers for the first time again.

my favorite is Bambic. I absolutely love this beer and want more of it (p.s. I will be coming to MI in May and could set up so IP trades for it). I also really like La Roja with a year on it, and La Roja GR is really good too.

I enjoy Noel also, and have a 2009 bottle that i am going to open one of these Christmas. Since my family lives in MI, my wife and I usually spend Christmas by ourselves, and she doesn't drink, and I want to share that beer, so it waits another year.

La Roja is my favorite so far. Oro de Calabaza is good. I love the overall flavors from their house flora in most of the beers I have had by them, wild deliciousness. I actually did enjoy La Parcela quite a bit but it seems like that one is not one of the more popular choices.

Came here to say Maracaibo Especial. I haven't had a ton of their beers though but this one is superb.

La Roja Grand Reserve 32 month, I believe it was released in 2008 and bottled in 2005. Man I wish I had several cases of it. Lambicus is really good too.

I have tried 3 (La Roja, La Parcela, and Calabaza Noel) and La Roja wins so far. The bad thing about JP beers is that they are quite expensive in SoCal at $11 to $19 a bottle depending on the beer.
