Bourbon County MD Sightings.

Got to Staples right when the store opened and was able to get a four pack. FishPaws still had some in stock with a 2 bottle limit.

Well worth the drive from DC.

 

Never heard of Staples before, will have to investigate in the future for a beer run!

 

So is AA county the only place getting an allotment in all of MD, or did they simply get it first? Not really understanding how the distribution is working on this one.

 

Yeah, I know a little bit and sometimes that is the case but this really makes no sense to me. I'm very rarely in AA county nor do I really even know of 'big' beer stores there(It does seem Fishpaws gets everything, however) but I'm shocked Baltimore County or Howard County may get passed by here.

 

Unfortunately it's not yet. Been in Va. for over a year now and I am convinced we lag behind a lot of major releases.

 

Here's some updates: I called Total wine in Chantilly, VA today. The person on the phone said they'd get it in January...I'm not sure if I could trust that info, though.

Called a place in Frederick County, MD...said it would be in within the next couple of weeks.

 

Seems reasonable to me, I've heard late October for Balt. County all along and while I never see my Winner/Bud rep, he's on alert for it.

For whats it worth, who I believe to be the main beer manager at Shawan was telling me the other day that he didn't expect to get much of it(if any) and added that Beltway would likely get it all. Seems like a work the phones situation for whenever word gets out its in your county.

 

Talked to the major craft beer store in Harford County today (Wine World) and got some information on Bourbon County. Apparently, the Goose Island reps were not happy with sales of their beer in Harford County this past year and will not be delivering any Bourbon County to Harford County. Just figured I would pass this info on...

Did any counties in MD other than AA get any last year? The only stores I know of last year that got it are the same ones that already have (or had?) it this year.

 

Hm, if that was truly the case I could see Balt. County being skipped as well...my small shop has relative trouble selling it and I barely see any of it at a BIG beer store like Shawan(although I'm sure the regular line is just in the cooler where I never look)

 

My shop in Owings Mills received both King Henry and BCBS Coffee...now, our former rep for Bud had 5 cases of each for his whole route and because of his relationship with me and, I assume, not being a rep for a big craft beer store decided to give us a case of each. We have a rack with about 40-50 bombers/750's and 2-3 doors of craft 6pks, for perspective.

 

Odd, so you guys got KH and BCBS Coffee but no regular BCBS? From what I remember last year Fishpaws and Dawsons both got BCBS but neither got Coffee or KH. None of the other spots in Central MD seemed to get anything at all.

 

Boulevard Wine and Spirits, next to the new Stevenson stadium. Its doubled in the 10 months I got hired to be the 'beer guy' but they've had a solid rack of bombers for awhile.

 

Is there any chance in hell BCBS will end up in Calvert/Charles/Saint Mary's counties sooner or later?

 

Bay Ridge still has some for $21.99 per 4-pack. Pretty good deal, considering most places separate these and charge $7+ per single.

I only grabbed one 4pack, but originally had 3 in my hand...figured I'd share the wealth!
