At this point I'd be happy with any mid week release.

I got guilt tripped a few months back over asking for them to refil a growler after they messed up my order. First they asked if I was OK with the wrong beer (and tried to convince me that the beer they filled was actually better), which I waffled on but ultimately asked (politely, I think) that I'd really prefer the beer that I ordered. I was then asked if I was willing to buy.both growlers, which I didn't want to do as I didn't need 128 OZ of beer. After a few "you sure you don't just want this one?", the guy rolled his eyes, yanked the growler and refilled it.

On the whole not a big deal, but just subpar experience

man wish they had this much contempt for the line share/flea-market-beer-trade folks as they do the growler fillers.

i will say i dgaf about their service, its always been crappy. at least theyre not charging $20something for a 32oz growler anymore.

would also like to add... double cheddar ages beautifully. never strong out the gate and needs at least a week in the can before it shines.

Not being from the area, I have a question about this Saturday's release. I will be driving from Long Island back to North Carolina and could stop by the brewery at 10:00 or so. Is it feasible to do this expeditiously or would I likely get stuck in a line for 30+ minutes?

No, you will most likely be in line for an hour at least.

I'd say highly unlikely I'm afraid. Maybe you'd get lucky but you'd have to plan on longer than 30 mins

These Galaxy beers (DDH Galaxy & Galaxy/Enigma) are unreal. Definitely in my wheelhouse.

78% like given, agree on 1st paragraph and growler pricing, lowering the price of growlers was a great move. 1/2 agree on the service, I have always had excellent service there, but recent reports indicate some really terrible service, not cool at all, sounds like some people there are a bit too big for their britches or need some training on how to treat customers properly.

I could easily say it's the newer hires they have there, I only have odd experiences when it's someone I didn't recognize before.

Come to think of odd experiences, I went to the taproom on a Sunday to pick up cans and a growler fill. There were 2 guys working the bar and the taproom wasn't too busy. I gave my order to Guy #1 and waited. I saw Guy #2 put a 32oz growler on the counter and just left it there without saying anything (same size I ordered). So I wasn't sure if it was mine or someone else's that ordered before me. Then I see people who ordered after me get their fills and leave, so I asked if the growler on the counter was mine and the convo went like this.....

Me: "Hey, is this my fill?"

Guy #2: "Is that what you ordered?"

    Me: (looks at cap) "Yeah"

    Guy #2: "Then take it!''

It's not a big deal, but at least call out something like "Any one order a 32oz _____?" or take peoples names down. It's just really annoying, and why be a dick at 12:30 in the afternoon when you've only been open for a half hour?

What time do people start to line up? If I got to the brewery at 9:00 what time might I expect to be back on the road?

Can sales start at 10:00 so you would be waiting an hour before the line even starts to move. How long it takes for you to get cans from that point depends on how many people are ahead of you.

I'd say you could be on the road between 10:30-11:00 but I'm most likely wrong.

People start lining up around 6am, sometimes earlier. Around 9am you will probably be right on the corner to half way down Garnet, most likely an hour or so wait from there once they open.

Just cracked my last True Green. It has a slight salt or mineral taste that's hard to describe. Anyone have any of these left and know what I'm talking about?

I feel like every other OH beer has an abrasive mineral taste that comes out as the beer ages.
