Have you tried Brewery Bhavana? Grove and Pithy are worth a taste.

Sounds to me like you should move back

None of those Mikkeller beers have been very good. Overpriced and underwhelming. Would much rather drink Hop on Top, Mosaic, Hubris, Trophy Wife, Local, Long Stride, Yield, Grove.

That's fine. Many of those are solid beers but aren't remotely NEIPAs...nor do I really think they're trying to be. My point is that Trophy more than other locals goes out of its way to brand beers as "modern IPAs" and they miss the mark every time. Never said I had any issue with any of the beers you mentioned.

If you spent the last half decade walking to Other Half for world class beers you'd miss it too.

Had a Mikkeller one today called Care Taker that I thought was really good, but I agree that most of the other recent ones of theirs haven't been anything special.

This is laughable. So a brewery should fire their brewers because they can't brew a NEIPA up to your standards? What about the hundreds of other styles they brew? Come on man.

I think you mentioned it before, but sounds like you need to start your own brewery down here. I'll try out your hazy IPAs.

This reminds me. Does anyone know if Bond Brothers is going to ever move beyond Friday crowlers? I'd LOVE to buy six/four packs of their IPAs.

Hubris in it's pre-filtered glory was great. Currently it is still very good but not nearly as good as it was before they started to filter it. The hazy Hubris would give any highly rated IPA/DIPA a hard time - it was that good !!!

New batch of Grove is the best NC DIPA I've had in quite a while.

The 7/31 of HDR is really good, best I've had from the can in a long time.

What's the distro range of Wilmington Brewing? I'll be going to the OBX next weekend and was wondering if I might find it there or along the way.

They are Wilmington only, the only stuff that makes it outside of town are kegs that bottleshops/bars from out of town come to pick up. Sorry! You'll just have to make a trip to Wilmington

But those also have been picked up by bottle shops not distributed by the brewery.

Sounds like Bhavana cans aren't too far off. Grove and Yield in cans will be incredible.
