Yeah, that sucks. They never got the attention they deserved (myself included in that). I really loved their saisons and they prided themselves on making very unique styles, never following trends. Definitely going to miss Opera Cream, ryesing up, and midnight terroir.

Wow, that's a bummer. Really enjoyed that place when we stopped in. Some really nice stouts on.

    Wonder why the closure.

Jungle Jim's got it in yesterday, so I would assume you will be seeing it shortly. They got a TON of it.

I was really sad to hear about Blank Slate. It was the brewery I probably visited the second most in Cincinnati and it is the closest decent brewery to my house.

The whole thing is very strange. They had a bottle release over the weekend, had been pushing that they were brewing a beer for a new bar not far from their location. All very strange.

I mentioned the soon to be opening Woolly Pig before, but they are getting closer. Looks like early October. It is operated by the former head brewer from Uinta, which was enough for me to be optimistic about it, but I am pretty excited based on the first beers he is rolling out. A year round Gose in my own back yard!

It is about 10-15 minutes west of I-77 (above 70) off US36 in Coshocton County for anyone curious

So, new to the far East suburbs of Cleveland. In Twinsburg/Solon/Mayfield Heights area, what are some of the best bottle shops around? Right now looking specifically for the new WWS, but I'd like to find a go to spot that also gets a lot of C-bus beers. Overall it seems like I'm in the beer Bermuda triangle of Ohio (anyone want to open a very with me?? ).

    Thanks in advance!

There's a liquor store on 91 about mile north of 480 in Twinsburg. Large enough selection but not super likely to get anything more rare.

There's a Heinans in Twinsburg (I think, could be Solon) which is your best bet.

Further out the best shop in Portage County is 101 Bottles in Kent. I also will stop at Sammy's Food Mart in Streetsboro. Sammy's has a huge selection for no apparent reason, much of it is old. But that's why I go - to specifically buy beer that ages well.

Lizardville in Bedford usually has a great selection. I just moved to Macedonia and am in the same boat looking for a new place to go. Kinda sucks so far.

I just moved out to Solon myself about 3 months ago. Lizardville is good and get's most bottles, Mustard Seed in Solon has a surprisingly great selection, they get a lot of the rarer Evil Twin bottles and cans. Chuck's Fine Wines in Chagrin Falls is a solid choice as well.

Did not realize there was a Mustard Seed in Solon! The one's in Fairlawn and Highland Square were two staples for me living in the Akron area. If the one in Solon is anything like those, it should be awesome. I'll have to check it out.

Forgot about Lizardville. Definitely worth the drive vs what's closest (for bottles). At least there's a Winking Lizard in Macedonia for drafts.

Lizardville is a great call, I'll definitely have to make a habit of going there. And I'll need to check out the other locations everyone recommended.

Now to find a reasonably close homebrew shop...

Heads up to the 'Nati peeps: my favorite Chickow! variant, BB Maple, is on tap for crowler fills at Delhi Liquor. If you've never had it, do not make haste! Only $11!
