I always see sculpin at $14.99 a sixer, that still makes melvin a cheaper option for me. Once I add in the idea that Melvin is just some peeps like us and not a faceless corporation and the choice is simple. Plus sculpin ain't all that anyway.

Anyone around Boulder and Longmont should definitely hit up this killer Beer of the Month deal. Great store and buyer Nicholas is a homie!

What store is this? I will have that old Hubert bought back and replaced with freshies

PS - Heyzeus cans in CO this week!

The Melvin crew covered it already, but yeah, every store should see the increase eventually. We are among the largest Melvin retailers in the country, so we turnover Melvin product very quickly in an average week and usually have the freshest cans around.

We get asked a lot about comparable beers to Melvin at a lower price point and everyone here already knows this, but with Melvin hops you get exactly what you pay for - some of the best alpha and beta acids around.

Thank you for coming in, as always!

Just got a 6-pack of IPA at Wadsworth Liquor and Wine on the corner of Wadsworth and Jewell in Lakewood. Normally their selection isn't that great, being a very small mom & pop, but I saw this on the top shelf. It just had a hand-written piece of cardboard that said New $9.99  Sweet. Canned on 7/31, too.

I've been deciding to be honest or hold back. It's been close but I really want to be honest. Colorado is a tough beer market and Melvin has killed it. But the new $13 a 6 pack increase. i will made a prediction and say even Melvin will become a shelf turd in Colorado. I love the ipa and Hubert but trust me you are pricing yourselves out of the Colorado market and with crooked stave just releasing a killer ipa at $10 a 6 pack I will no longer buy Melvin IPA. Sorry if I'm being an asshole but $13 for a 6 pack of IPA won't fly here..

I'm a cheapskate so I hate price increases as much as anyone but a $13 six pack will most certainly fly here. Remember, this is the home of the $20 growler, $16 crowler, and $14 per 375ml bottle. Hell, Comrade is about to release their fresh hop and charge like $40 for a growler fill. Someone here is buying the $15 Sculpin. Melvin might not fly off the shelf with the zeal it once did but I doubt it will sit either. The CS and River North IPAs have been my go to lately simply because for the price they cant be beat.

Thank you! Citradamus predicts you will drink Melvin. Good for Chad on the 10 buck six packs if we(Melvin) did that we wouldn't be in business any more. Shipping from here to your beautiful state is not cheap. Enjoy everyone's beer. Life's too short to worry about a couple bucks. We are doing our best not to be Ballast haha.

Being at $10.99 barely works for us (Odd13). We've been at that price point since we started canning almost 3 years ago. Raw material prices go up every year. Rent goes up every year. We like to give raises to our employees once a year. I'm not sure where the money for those is supposed to come from if prices never get raised. I honestly have no idea how Chad can manage $10 for a six pack. Like @flyone said, we'd be out of business if we charged that for IPA.

Don't get me Wrong Melvin beers are excellent and I will continue to buy them but just not like I use too. I become to hate crowlers for this reason is your getting less beer than you did with a growler for the same price. Let's not even talk Sculpin. It's really not that good and the price is even worse and it's usually old anyways. If I see Melvin next to Sculpin I will buy Melvin 100% of the time. Inflation sucks especially when you're a little working stiff like me  keep making amazing beers Fly one I will buy them when I can:slight_smile:
