Lawson's SOS In NYC

    Last Friday in Burlington at the spot I always hit up, $13 a 4-pack and no limit. I bought 3; quite delicious but frankly no longer the must-have it used to be. (Heady Topper on the other hand...still sooo gooood...) NJ fortunately has a few top-notch brews I'm honored to purchase in-store without any struggle.

    Ha, let's not hold our breath on this one.

    Since we're on the topic of Lawson's, I'm definitely psyched about the (eventual) new brewery up in Waitsfield. Will be great to have another hangout during ski season.

    agreed 100%, but it's still nice to have the option of having a SOS if I so choose:grinning:

    Definitely, and when local cans hard to come by, nice option to hopefully walk in store and grab some SOS without any hassles.

    SOS is a tasty beer. Sadly, I won't pay that price for it when there are so many equal or better beers around for less money. Already have discontinued getting Singlecut and Grimm for same reasons. Will still pick up my usual case of SOS for 13 @ 4pak in Vt. when I visit.

    Booooo! SOS is selling out.....
    To many NYC brews killing it right now. New England is a thing of the past....lol. Soon
    we'll see Trillum and Tree House distribuiting.

    Cool. But I've been tracking SOS since it got distribution to CT, and it's never been $13 a four pack (in Connecticut), as the previous poster had alluded to.

    Supply was not low, a lot of stores didn't take a lot though. I know a particular store near me got 8 cases, and that store could have taken more (and they took a keg of it). The stores that limited to 2pp took fewer cases. It's unfortunate that some batches of SoS are better than others. I was up in Vt twice this year, and each time they tasted different. The batch I had in April was delicious, but Feb batch and this batch from last weeks release were just meh.

    Does anyone know of places outside NYC (aka just north of NJ) that get Lawson's SoS and Super Session? Looking to little trip on the motorcycle and if there is a reliable place I can grab a pack it would be nice! Thanks!

    I don't know how close it is to you, but all the beer stores in Rockland County have been getting it. Cable Beverages, Growler & Gill, Hillcrest Beverage etc......

    Was glad to see SoS a few weeks ago. Granted, I'd take a local option over it most days, but it tastes exactly like I recall and is still a great beer in it's own right. But if I want a high ABV IPA, gimme an OH.

    Bread & Honey and Food Emporium in midtown west both have it... haven't seen in WF, at least not at Columbus circle...
