Didn't you have to flip beer to get 33 cans? And didn't you say you might trade 1-2 four packs of a 3 four pack allotment? Hmm..

Funky saison. One of my favorites as well

I love Sticky Drippy Crystals, just bought 3 bottles. It is tart for a saison but doesn't give full sour from what I remember. It has been a year since I tried.

I would say that your slightly pretentious attitude is what has gotten people worked up, not the fact that you got that much of a desirable beer. Tone can not be sensed in written form obviously, and your tone can be read as slightly high brow.

Props to you for securing a beer you thoroughly enjoy and even more for spreading the wealth with your family/friends from me.

Of minor note is that last time they released sticky drippy in June 2016, it was $16 a bottle. Maybe this is the beginning of a price slashing trend! (Ha) (Also should mention I think the $16 was an increase of a $1 from the first time they released it, but don't feel like going that far back on the gram).

Also, it is a really nice beer and ages quite well, too.

There's lots of Ochre Graves and some AC left.

I wish they would hashtag the beer names in the posts, would make searching a lot easier.

I don't need to do Stickman, I can get shelf beers as good as Tired hands for half the price. Do any of you even browse regular beer stores nowadays? Plenty of juice all day. I feel like ya'll are the blind leading the blind nowadays.

Browse the shelves plenty and I think most others that are regular on this thread do too, yet to find anything close to Tired Hands in that style unless I stumble upon some Funk at Whole Foods. I may be drinking the Tired Hands koolaid but it is delicious.

And yes these threads get repetitive, every month you can be guaranteed that lines and pricing and oh they are so weird will be discussed. I think most of us just wish you didn't have to jump through so many hoops to get their cans on the regular.

Despite all of this I am always open to trying new things if you want to let us know what we should be on the lookout for. Could throw that answer over in the Southeastern Pa thread if you want.

    Cheers!

I am honestly curious what beers similar to TH IPAs are available in regular beer stores, aside from Thomas Hooker Unfiltered - which from my experience is not the kind of beer you can just walk in and grab.

Care to name a few? I browse shelves all the time, buy lots of new IPAs on shelves, have been drinking IPAs years before IPAs were the rave, have been buying Funk beers for years now (people equate them to TH), live close to Stickman and Hidden River, and other than Hidden River nothing comes close to the top IPA offerings of Tired Hands. My opinion.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of solid shelf IPAs, but they mostly strike me as more West coast like than NE. Hidden River is the closest thing to TH. They're always killing it.

Probably the only thing close would be the Singlecut cans that show up at retail. Everything else doesn't come close.
