I call it Jack Weed Plunker. Basic pale ale but for the last 15 minutes threw in one pellet at a time of 1.5 oz of Amarillo. Big dry hopping of cascade and simcoe. Sits at a comfy 4.7%

Session ale #3 with rye, perhaps too much rye, super hazy tastes bad, could be the first bad batch of the year, gonna wait a week then try again.
Then onto the brothers oak and maple stout, super.

Glass blending an older pineapple/sage Berliner weisse with a younger blueberry Berliner weisse. Both fermented with the same sacch/brett strain. Tasting pretty nice..

DIPA 8.27% ABV, 38 IBUs calculated. Brewed on 6/24/17, poring from the keg on 7/10/17.
Grain Bill: 52.6% Golden Promise, 10.5% Honey Malt, 10.5% Spelt, 10% Flaked Wheat, 10.5% flaked oats, 5% corn sugar (too much).
Hops: El Dorado, Amarillo (small bittering charge), Azacca hops. (mostly whirlpool, bio trans, and keg dry hopped)
London Ale 3 yeast, temp controlled at 63 degrees for first 3 days and slowly ramped up to 72 before transferring to keg. Some of the hops were added during bio-transformation.
Started out bitter and boozy, now its smoothing out to more floral nose, tropical and citrusy flavor. Less boozy with a mildly silky creamy mouthfeel.
I will be honest, I was just throwing grain in the recipe to experiment. I had some cans from Tired Hands and wanted to see how the spelt would effect things. Its a very drinkable beer, my IPA drinking friends have enjoyed it as well!

Here's my attempt at the averagely perfect ESB. Came out pretty solid if I do say so myself

Trying to make these two last until my tap water cools down.
First is a Notch "Land Speed Record" clone. 50% wheat with a bunch of whirlpool and dry hopped Citra and Huell Melon. 5% abv. Was meant to add Grungeist but I never got it. Head brewer at Notch actually gave me some tips on this one! Turned out great!

Second one was a clone recipe in a recent Zymurgy for a so-called Sloop Juice Bomb. I used mainly Golden Promise pale malt with about 15% wheat. And again, a bunch of Citra with a healthy about of Amarillo and a touch of Simcoe. (I've learned that I LOVE simcoe in small doses and HATE it in large doses). Two points of interest: 1. This was my first time re-using yeast. I used Gigayeast's Vermont yeast with no starter for the Notch clone and then reused a bunch of it for this one. Really great for summer drinking and will be sad when they're kicked (any day now). 2. First pic is with iPhone 4 and second is with iPhone 7.

Spunded to 4vols. I like the sound of this....did you transfer to a keg near end of fermentation and use a spunding valve set to a certain pressure that you knew would hold it at 4vols? I'd love to do this. Great looking beer too.

You always have the best heads of any beer I've ever seen commercial or homebrew.

Beautiful. Did you ingest this after the eclipse? I believe Oregon was supposed to be in line for it today!
