No mention of the beers, yet. I think we find out on Sept. 1st. Says "exclusive crystal glassware" and 20 included bottles. 4 less than last year. I'd rather have beer than another "exclusive" glass to squeeze into my overloaded cabinet. It says you can add two individuals to receive society access and discount. That's a plus.

They dropping the price for 4 less bottles? That's roughly $120 less value (or more expensive if you think about it that way. Hell of an increase!) if not which would be incredibly disappointing.

That all depends on the retail value of the bottles. If there are more $30-40 bottles than last year it evens out.

Still wish they had a sour only option.

I got a Hoarder's invitation! There are so many people who I need to thank, but my big shout-out goes to the taxpayers of California: thank you for funding this graduate student's profligate spending on craft beer. I couldn't have done it without you guys.

Of note: the invitation mentions both the Bruery and Bruery Terreux brands, but no mention of Offshoot. Might mean that the societies are staying independent of the Offshoot brand next year.

Congrats, and thank you for being a great supporter!

Offshoot isn't officially part of the Society membership (logistically it works very differently, so we need to keep it separate from Societies), but there will be Offshoot perks for Society members next year that we'll be announcing soon.

    Cheers,

Seriously?!? And add a second name. I was going to bail out of Hoarder's mainly for that reason. Hmm, maybe I'm not out.

I had to read that a few times too. Many being able to add people will be a huge and very much welcomed perk.

I haven't gotten mine yet. I wouldn't worry about it.

I got mine just this morning and was very relieved to see I've been re-invited back into the HS, which I certainly wasn't taking for granted!

Don't you automatically get re-invited to the societies?

Not true, a few ppl got "booted" from HS last yr for not buying enough beer.

Last yr we got 24 beers for $750, that equates to $32 a beer before taxes and shipping.

At 20 beers, that's $37.5 a beer. Only a few beers are that expensive (using last couple of yrs as a gauge). Those 20 beers better be pretty awesome, and not 3 bottles of some crummy HS raspberry 20% stout or I'll be pretty disappointed. As many have pointed out in this thread, this past yr has been extremely disappointing. I can't think of one HR beer so far. I'm not trying to troll or shit on the bruery, I love the bruery and have been a HS member since the first yr.

However, in my opinion this yr has by far been the worst yr since the club started.

I hear you. 2016 had only 20 or 21 beers if I remember right, then they increased it to 24 for 2017. So going the other way seems like a slide.

Dang, I got a hoarders invite!? I'm hardly the biggest spender, so not sure what the criteria are.

How long were you in reserve?

That tends to not matter either since I received a HS invite after spending significantly less than others and only being in RS for 2 years. (this was a couple years ago)
