A bit of a line but it's moving.parking lot is a bit of a mess. Some jerks parked weird and cut off an exit.

I was one of those jerks. When I parked along the right side the left side was open. When I got back to my car...not so much. Sorry!!

The crowlers do make the line run smoothly. Grabbed mine, went to the tavern for a drink, and when I came back out 30 minutes later all was quiet. If only there was a bit more parking. Oh well. For beer this good, I'd park in Pennington and walk to hopewell.

    Well, way to go.

It's a nice place, Alex seems very nice as well. This particular beer is drinking well too. I'd definitely try to get there again, but maybe on a Saturday so I can also hit up conclave and make the hour+ drive each way a little bit more productive.

I enjoyed the face off that ensued between the grey suv and blue bmw. Suv was going the wrong way anyway.

Something's got to break soon regarding the restaurant/troon/parking situation. I wouldn't be surprised if releases get moved to the days brick farm is closed. Like Mondays.

Monday/Tuesday releases in theory work for a parking logistics solution, but that cuts down on dedicated brewing time. Bringing us back to square one.

Not to mention that these are crowlers, not cans. So their shelf life takes a hit. A Monday release may not sell out, having a bunch of crowlers going into the weekend isn't ideal.

I think we're quickly approaching the time that Alex just hides in the back and brews while two people manage the sales. Something's gotta give.

Just wait until Troon starts selling 4pk 16oz sticker cans....plenty of space out there for tents

    How so?

If they retail Monday and Tuesday, they brew Friday, Saturday, or Sunday as well.

Plenty of breweries have week day releases, seems to work fine for them. As to crowlers, they hold better than you're implying. And who says eventually they don't move to cans?

Planning on making a trip up to Troon today since the weather is great and it it's a quick drive up 295. Anything in particular I should expect? The girl made reservations at the Tavern but not sure I want to sit down and eat at that place. A little pricey.
Also will there still be crowlers available today? Checked instagram but looks like they only posted for yesterday.

How's the new beer? Worth the 45 min drive?

I doubt you will need reservations for lunch at the tavern. Can always sit in the bar area or outside, both of which are first come first serve. It is pricey for sure. The tavern menu could get you by (have heard great things about the burger and empanadas, but haven't had them since I'm a vegetarian) but even that is expensive. Since the tavern only has Ageless Witticism on tap right now from Troon, you could always grab your crowlers and head up to Nomad Pizza in the center of Hopewell. Ridiculously good pizza, and BYOB.

Should be crowlers left. He said there were 600 available, and capped limit at 4 pp. I'd be very surprised if 150 people went through yesterday. Plus he usually posts if he runs out of beer. Emphasis on usually.

Do you like raspberry smoothies? Because that's actually what it is. If you like fruit beers, well worth the drive.

Ageless Witticism is very fruit forward but without being over the top sweet. Very subtle hop profile.

I would not expect crowlers to last the day

First Troon experience was awesome yesterday. Walked right in and got Crowlers and a glass. Bought more than I thought I was going to after having a taste pour. Had a full pour of Ageless Witticism at the Tavern. The beer is fantastic. The food at the Tavern was awesome and not nearly as pricey as I was expecting.
I suspect I will be heading here more often in the future.
