i like the new can/beer. naturally, reminds me of another hop forward kolsch style beer.

Tried a small sample of the kolsch, really like it. Very balanced. Had multiple pours of Sunday brunch. I mean, what can you say bad about that.

If it reminds you of a certain other "hop forward kolsch style beer," then it's a very generous, relaxed take on a persnickety style

I was happy to see a sticker can in a summer friendly style from Kane. I wouldn't compare it to another local Monmouth County brewer's water vessel. To me that drinks more like an IPA done with a Kolsch yeast.

Kane's had more parts. You can taste the Kolsch, Pilsner and Galaxy components.

Nice beer. If cans are still available today, I suggest grabbing some. Perfect option for last August imbibing.

How's everyone's wave tank drinking? I had one today and it was a total malt bomb, almost no hop presence like the other 5-6 cans I have had. Hoping it was just an off can.

Definitely a malt presence for me, but I'm getting a good (balancing) amount of the wine wine/peach hop flavors.

    Good afternoon everyone,

I am heading to Asbury Park the weekend of Sept 16th for a wedding at the Wonder Bar. I am planning on stopping at Kane that Saturday. Do they typically do Can/bottle releases on Saturdays? How early do you typically need to be there to get something?

Any other info on the tap room that would make the experience ever better is much appreciated. I was lucky enough to attend a Kane tap takeover at The Arlington LBI in early August and was blown away by the Sunday Brunch and the Hop Lab they had. Thanks in advance.

They don't do a release every Saturday but when they do releases they are almost always on Saturday's at noon if that makes sense.

In addition to any release they might have, it's very likely they will have some or all of Head High, Overhead, and Sneakbox cans for purchase.

As for the tap room, they'll have plenty of stuff on tap. Usually anywhere from 8-14 offerings

To add to this, the only time there is ever a line is for the really big releases, think Bells/Brunches. They announce these a few hours prior to open and people will line up as soon as the announcement is made. Otherwise, as stated above most release are announced right at open on Saturday with no line.

Just note that if they do do a release and it's a PA, probably want to get there by 2pm

I hope we see deep rooted again this year. Always an enjoyable beer to me, juice lovers wouldn't agree but I hope we see it for growlers again in months time.

Wave Tank fell off incredibly fast for me. I'm drinking a completely different beer now than I was a week and a half ago. Kind of a shame as this was great not long ago.

Was the nose off-putting? Or just not much of a presence?

The wife and I are sharing a Porcelain Saucer now and both picked up notes of Concord grape in the nose and the taste. It is an enjoyable change of pace from the sea of excellent hoppy ales that Kane puts out.
