Any indication if this will be on tap and, if so, does it seem like it might stay on for a few days?

In the interest of fairness and courtesy to others in line, the short answer is to stay in line once in line. Of course, a quick bathroom break is an exception. Cheers.

I agreed until Maple warmed up. Then it was on par with coconut IMO

Echoing ECCS's comments. Glad I'm not the only one with a hobby/problem.

Glad I put in the effort to check the place out this morning. Very good beers. I think the secondary market prices are absurd at the moment, especially for a non-BA beer, but the price is what the market will bear.

Super nice staff at More. Great space. One thing that I wish they, and other places with high demand beers (stouts specifically) would do is keg more. Make it available for the folks who want to come in and try the beer and check out the establishment. It's great that folks buy up every bottle and trade and spread the word, but being able to sit in the brewery and enjoy the beer means way more to me. I was hoping that Henna would have stayed on a bit longer because I probably would have gone back and had it again, but I'm glad to have at least been able to try one of Shaun's stouts for the first time.

It's really a good thing that most beer people are pretty cool about things. As usual, a lot of shenanigans went on. I lost roughly 30 spots to the line jumpers from when I showed up. At one point somebody from More came out and moved the line so it did not stretch in front of the other store front for the landscaping business. These three knuckleheads decided to try to line jump about 50 positions ahead. More was on to them and eventually kicked them out. So of course they decided to come back and claim their original place in line. Like I said, it's a good thing that most beer people are pretty cool. These guys should have been sent to the end of the line.

Good to see some form of justice. Although a trip to the back of the line would've been more than warranted.

And I tried to append this to my previous message, but it timed out. In regards to having the beers on tap for people to try, I find it interesting that More do not have more of a steady stable of beers on tap for people to enjoy, instead opting for bottle releases and can rekeases I don't know the economics of the whole thing as I've never run a brewery, but I would like to see more options available for on-site consumption.

It may be a self-serving comment, but given that bottle releases are not really an option most of the time, it's going to be hard for me to think about taking the family out to an establishment like More for dinner when they've got 1-2 beers on tap. The draw of a brewery, to me, is to enjoy the beers they make and, hopefully, they pair well with the food.

I do understand they're getting things up and running, but to not have some staple beers on tap at all times seems a bit odd. Hopefully this changes over time and I can go in knowing that there'll be a pale, a IPA, or two, a stout, and maybe a sour or two on tap at all times.

    /rant off

    I agree with you

My uninformed guess is that More is using the secondary market to create hype for his brewing. Maybe once they feel that goal has been achieved, they will put more of their beer into kegs for onsite consumption. You would have to think they would like to have 8-12 options of their own beer on tap eventually.

It's definitely annoying that they don't consistently have more taps on. If it were me, I would have held off on cans/crowlers for a while to catch up.

The stouts are a bit of a different animal given the hype level. I would be interested to see how long one would last if they did draft only/no crowlers. Hopefully there are a few more smaller test batches like Maple and Coconut, which would probably last 3/4 days without the bottle release shit-show.

Of course this will change. I'm absolutely positive they want to have a steady stable of beers available for everyone. They just opened though so give them some time. No small business has everything perfect from day 1 and these guys are no exception. However, they are doing a great job and absolutely moving in the right direction. They want you to enjoy the beer they make and beer, good sir, you will get!

It certainly is an interesting approach and I'm sure the huge can/bottle sales help keep the lights on and chip away at some of that initial investment money. It's also a different beast when the expectations of quality beer are high right from the outset. It's a lot different from the old days when a place would open their doors and fine tune their stuff over time and it would all be for onsite consumption, save for a growler or two for the hardcore beer enthusiast. Of course, cross country beer trading didn't exist either. Still, I can't help but think it's odd to have a small batch variant and a one other beer on tap, especially at a place that size. At that point, it's almost more restaurant than brewery, IMO.

And thanks for the good discourse. Hopefully my posts don't come across as pure pissing and moaning, but simply a means to have some civil discourse.

I agree that i'd like to see more of it available on tap. With time, i'm confident they will. Look at Mikerphone now, they have 10+ offerings available.
