What is your favorite Fall beer that is not a pumpkin ale or Oktoberfest? I'm really enjoying Rogue's Hazelnut Brown as we head into Fall. I'm still drinking plenty of pumpkins and Oktoberfests, but it's nice to have other options that "fit" the season. My runner up would be Wehenstephaber dunkel. Dunkels also fit my mood on 60 degree rainy days like today.

Stone Xocoveza, very tasty, very good for the fall/winter and ages very good for summer sipping next spring. Love this beer.

Weihenstephaner Dunkel? :open_mouth: Now you're sending me on a quest - I had no idea we were seeing that over here.

One of my standard fall purchases is Southern Tier Harvest; it's great to be able to get a quality ESB fresh and in season.

IPAs are for all seasons and since the hop harvest is at the end of the summer, that makes fall IPAs extra hoppy.

Gosh, too many to narrow down. Here are a few of my favs:

    Backwoods Bastard
    Founders Harvest Ale
SN Celebration (more of a holiday beer, but becomes avail. in the fall)
    Xocoveza (see above re: Celebration)
    Bells Best Brown

This time of year I basically roll through Sierra Nevada's beer line-up: Oktoberfest -> N. Hemisphere Harvest -> Celebration.

Mix in some other quality lagers (marzens and pilsners) along the way. Take a break from the haze that dominates NE beers.

Unless it's brand new, we don't get Tradition over here. We DO get the dunkelweiss, though. Having seen that beer advertised like a dozen times all over the US, it's almost guaranteed to be either the dunkelweiss or occasionally Warsteiner Dunkel :stuck_out_tongue:

We used to get the warsteiner dunkel. A favorite of mine and now we don't. I wonder why.

Bell's Best Brown probably tops my list. Everything from the beer's color, to its flavor, and even the packaging, just exude Fall to me the same way Oberon does with Summer.

There are a couple other releases I always anticipate: Bell's Third Coast Old Ale and Expedition Stout, Founders Backwoods Bastard and Breakfast Stout, and Lagunitas Born Yesterday and Brown Shugga.

Dunkels are indeed rare, but I bet you could always get Hofbrau or even Von Trapp as a substitute.

Already been dropped a few times but Bells best brown, and Celebration. Also use to really like getting ruthless or flipside from Sierra Nevada. But Born Yesterday tops the list

I had the same thought. That being said the dunkelweiss is very good.
