Does anywhere in Ohio still see O'Fallon smoke distributed? It's one of my favorite beers (especially in the fall) but it hasn't been around my local area (boardman/Youngstown area) for 2 years or so.

Just wondering if anywhere else in the state sees it. Additionally anyone see schlenkerla marzen in the 5L mini kegs? I found one in mentor Ohio in the spring but that's the only time/place I've ever gotten ahold of one.

they had just gotten it that day, so even when we do get it, its old lol. I know Lakewood sells tons more. My only complaint is there are so many things we NEVER get. I'm happy with my 4 pack of Bodhi, and I never have to deal with bottle limits when I do find something good. So there is some upside.

I am not an IPA drinker due to my bitter sensitivity. That said, I thought ~2 weeks was still very fresh. May not be ~2 days, but are you finding drop offs in just 2 weeks? Or was your point just the slow distribution to your area?

it was pretty good, but they don't say they use coffee to make it, I think it's just flavoring, and I would have thought the color would be darker. Warlock is better.

Lord Hobo Brewing starting distribution here in the next couple weeks! Boom Sauce, Hobo Life and Glorious will be coming, but no Consolation Prize or Steal This Can.

Creeper has hit Columbus...just picked up a 4 pack. Thank you to CBC for their quick line recovery so I can enjoy it over this long holiday weekend!

I checked on O'Fallon's distribution for a guy a few months ago and looks like they are nowhere in Ohio anymore.

Rhinegeist bringing in a ton of out of state, out of distro breweries for their Rare Beer fest.

    https://www.ohio.com/akron/pages/beer/rhinegeist-announces-rare-beer-fest

4 Hands, Allagash, Burial Beer, Cigar City, Drake’s, Faction, Fieldwork, Firestone Walker, Fullsteam, The Lost Abbey, Noble Ale Works, Other Half, Pipeworks, Sun King, Three Weavers, TRVE, Wiseacre.

Wonder how that works...I've heard of breweries signing temporary distro deals for fests but always told Ohio wasn't a friendly place to do events like this. Would love to hear that's changing.

I hope they end up posting a tap list. That would be the primary determination of whether or not I wanted to attend this. It is high for me. What makes it pallatable is that I could stay with family, so the cost is mostly just that of my wife and I going + little driving. But, given that I really only care about BA stout offerings (Sours, wilds and IPAs aren't my thing), it would be almost entirely dependent on what's being offered.

    That's an insane list!
I would have gone just for Pipeworks alone

Cincinnati is still part of Ohio :stuck_out_tongue: ? I guess sometimes it still thinks it is....other times it is part of Kentucky, Indiana or just it's own independent city-state

Mostly the independent city-state thing. They'll claim Columbus as part of their statehood, but the rest of ohio - especially that apple-atcha part - can go **** themselves usually.

Kentucky residents in ohio is a necessary evil for Cincinnatians to be able to build things and have services provided.

Indianians provide the gambling. Or, they did.

    Cincinnati is growing fiercely independent...

    I agree...no tap list = I won't buy a ticket.

Although, even with a tap list, it would have to be a pretty insane list for me to bother going.

Agreed. There's only like 5 breweries that I really want to go there fore. So, ideally, something like CCB would have to have BBA Huna, DB Huna, BBA or DB Zukov, etc. Those type of things. I'm not looking to pay that just to try their shelfies + Huna.

Looks at price....$40-$45 GA & $60 for VIP. I don't know, that's a very reasonable price point whether it be Uber rare beers or "shelfies" in other states. But to each their own.

My apologies, I scrolled up and saw you only like BA Stouts. I guess that would be a bit pricey if that is all you liked.

I will say compared to other events that are similar, the price is pretty damn good.
