totally agree with this. I go there about 6, waited 15 minutes, and my wife and I walked away with 28(!) cans of Green and Sap. Vibe was super relaxed and everyone was enjoying themselves. I think this is what they envisioned when they opened Charlton. Nice that the insanity has started to die down (relatively speaking) and its becoming a relaxing place to hang out.

Since they opened in Charlton, food trucks have only been a Saturday thing as far as I know. Friday might be one of the busier days of the year though since its labor day weekend, I think her patience will be sufficiently tested.. Should get a good haul though! In terms of food options, BT's is what everyone will say (and it is pretty good + you can drink your cans). In terms of other options... There was a gas station down the street that was having a sale on Reeses... I got a couple for the ride home to CT last night.

So the question would be was it more laid back yesterday because Sap was announced Tuesday (vs a haze/Julius).... or is it really starting to balance out?

I am surprised the Green offering wasn't enough to bring the crowds. Sap is a phenominal beer, IMO, and I don't understand the relatively muted interest in it. Usually Wednesdays are busy with a two can haul w/ good limits for each. Last Wednesday was Lights On and Bright... and it was busy, which was a bit surprising to me because I understand those beers to be lower on the FOMO scale. Maybe this is the start of a more chill experience, especially with many schools now back in session. Another variable to consider though is Labor Day Weekend, which you would think would increase the crowds. Super interesting.

Exactly my thoughts. I'm certainly confused as to why Green wouldn't bring everyone out. And if balance is happening... are limits going to increase and bring chaos right back? I'd love to be a fly on the wall during their meetings as they analyze each little detail as it equates to how many folks swing by.

Would love to think balance is happening but made a forum account after years of lurking to add a data point... last Saturday I waited 95 minutes (originally just wanted a pour, ended up getting the C39 after that darn wait!), but maybe that is solely attributed to the cans + pours at the same time process inefficiency...

Two other things to keep in mind, college kids are back in school and also in NH, VT, and parts of Mass (not sure about RI or CT), kids are back in school so vacation season is over for most local families. Today and tomorrow will probably be nuts but it will be interesting to see how the next few weeks go.

    *sigh*

I almost don't want to go, but I'll be in the area. So torn. I've yet to visit Charlton and haven't gotten anything Tree House for a few months now but the impending disaster (and the fact that I have to be out of there by 3-ish to get somewhere on time) is giving me pause.

So, on twitter when he was answering questions on Charlton's opening day, Nate said that there would be juice machine again this summer. Summer is running out...

According to the release spreadsheet, it was released the week before Summer's end last year.

Also of note, the last time King Julius was released was this very week last year.

I realize this has nothing to do with future releases, I just find that kind of stuff interesting.

With Eureka today, it's even more likely now that something special could be coming tomorrow.

Why? How can you make this statement with any sort of seriousness?
