    I'm with you, I only had last year's (both versions) and thought it was mediocre, thin and one-noted.

    Mine tasted like straight creamy espresso.

    Maybe you got the four pack that they forgot to put in the barrel AND add the coffee :scream:

    I was lucky enough to just buy a single. I wouldn't have even got it if my brother hadn't brought it up and said he was going to get one...the power of suggestion. :grimacing:

    I powered through the four pack in a week. I liked it, i just couldn't tell that it had ever been in a barrel. I think the vanilla might have masked the barrel.

    The issue wasn't the amount of the base beer, it's the amount of space they have for barrels. It'll be another low yield year, so I'd expect same deal (to go growlers and on site consumption) with smaller limits per person.

    Lot of vanilla maple shake at Binnys Lakeview. 8.99 a pop. All out on the shelf.

    Stopped by Une Anee today for El Zacaton pours and bottles to go. It was really excellent and worth a stop for sure. They have their anniversary weekend next week with BA Feats of Strength on draft

    Public service FYI for anyone looking for a stout you probably can't find anywhere else in America - Beer Temple had BBA Noa Pecan Mudcake from Omnipollo. Expensive at $11 for a 6 oz pour, but worth in my opinion.

    PSA - cuvée of darkness v2 on tap today. I'm worried it'll pop before I can make it there.

    ...someone order me one and leave it at he bar? It'll taste better warm anyways!

    Looks that way...Terrible name though, Surly should sue them. Or at least blend Darkness and call it Cuvee of BCBS....
