Chicagoland is too drunk and tired from hoarding More Brewing Co.'s stout release from earlier today...

I had Animal Law and while it was fantastic I would not consider it a NE style IPA. More like a hazy half acre style IPA. And lactose in IPAs is just not my thing, so the other two (I believe LA Looks also had lactose) just do nothing for me - in terms of excitement level.

Thank you for the review. It's much appreciated. As a sidebar, I think we should stop posting Half Acre beers in this thread since they are not aiming for the style. Just my opinion but they are their own animal (law) like 3 Floyd's

As mentioned in two posts above me, HA isn't going for NEIPA. They just don't filter some of their beer and well, that's how it looks.

Stopped at Triptych on the way home from St.Louis today. PYNK is phenomenal, juicy as all hell. One of the best fruited beers I've had. Had two pours while there and picked up two four-packs to bring home.

Shame it is two hours away, really nice space. Would love to frequent it more often.

    Per their website:
However, I think it was @flat_lander who said he was told it was essentially Really Dank Meme with those fruits added.

This. Fluffy and hazy like really dank meme, with a citrusy pop of color I'm assuming from the fruits. We were sitting outside and my wife made a comment it looked like straight peach juice in the sun.

both. was told they had lots of cans left but it was a hit and would probably move fast.

i also asked about their distribution plans to chicago longterm and it sounds like there will only be one-offs until they move to their new space across the street.

Glad you enjoyed! I brought a cooler of like 30 Triptych cans up for a wedding this past weekend. They got destroyed at the after party and were really well received. Pynk is really good for a fruited IPA. I haven't loved all of their fruited attempts, but this one is well done and as noted a sight to behold. I still prefer regular Really Dank, but that's not going to stop me from running out and grabbing another 4 pack of Pynk before it's gone.

@KrajDoesBeer pretty much second everything that's been noted. If I was able to partake in the share, I'd bring a car load of their stuff up to open with everyone, but alas, not happening for me on a Monday night. If you do one in June or July next year I could make it for sure. Day of the week wouldn't matter to me then.

Love the 16oz/6 packs at that price, but Boing! was good enough for me to bother with this with Atomic Child this week as well as Funk Factory taking all of my money.

Looks like marz cans of Hazy Vale started hitting stores yesterday, anyone try this yet?[IMG]

I'm curious about these new Marz cans as well. Initial reviews on untappd look good. However, I'm hesitant as I found their Midway ChiPA to have a bit of a Belgiany yeast vibe, which I don't really appreciate in this style, so I wonder if this has that going on as well?

On a side note, and not trying to troll, does anyone drink Marz beers? I have never ever seen anyone buy Marz while I'm at a liquor store and I don't personally know anyone that drinks any. I'm genuinely interested as I see plenty of their beers on shelves but assume most stay away because of the format and price?

Would love to know if Hazy Vale is good for the style and price point

The first one that was tap only, I actually found to be pretty solid. The bottled one, however, was simply not good.
