Sadly I don't see them offering much in the way of any transparency. The fact they won't indicate what you get smells really fishy. Also, they keep stating that they work with breweries to ship you beers made just for them? So then, with that said why are multiple people saying they are getting year old beer? If they are brewing for them would the beer not be fresh? I keep hearing how they cannot say what is shipping but if you work directly with a brewery you would know exactly what is coming out, name etc. If I had a business like this that was legit I would be using the beer to promote my business. I would be bragging what is coming out next because that would drive my subs. The fact it is all hidden says one thing, it's BS.
What I really see happening here is one of the owners of this startup knows a friend in the distribution side and they are selling old stock at a premium, that is more likely the case here.
There is a surplus of old beer out there and what better way to sell it than blindly promote whales and hard to get items to potential customers and ship out the leftover stuff. Remember their key words of their contract on the sign up, NO RETURNS....You are stuck with the garbage.

Can you provide us with a list of the breweries you currently work with and some contact info. Also a list of beers to be released, name of beer, what you get in package, when it was made, etc. I often like going to a store and having a grey box and the store owner tells me hey, you will like it just pay me, LOL yep..

Hey, when a pop up online company acts as they do yes I want more info. They don't tell you what you get, they won't take anything back, you pay and it is what it is. People getting year old shelf beer, etc. When the owner is a start up guy, he is not into beer, this is another fast start up to make load of cash and move on once is crashes, so whatever.

Yeah I get it, and I expressed my doubts about this in post #5. But at some point you just have to decide that you don't trust it personally and you're not going to participate. They've got their business model, you've got your hopes and wishes to have all of your doubts assuaged. Half the stuff you're asking may not even be known yet.

Alesmith didn't do you any favours with their Old Numbskull. Oxidized like crazy.

Thanks for list, i see this was confirmed today on my acct, hope to see it soon.

Even if each bottle was 10-12 bucks, living in south Florida and shipping from up north with fed ex ground business acct, would have cost me about the same. I trade a ton so I am excited to see how this plays out. Will update this thread if accurate shipment or super old etc

Just for a heads up, they are shipping out Hill Farmstead today. They are shipping 12 bottles of BrewDog next month (6 different beers including 2 small batch releases). I just messaged them and the shipping will remain $12 for next month!

I'll most likely give this through the BrewDog shipment before I make a long-term decision. The ET offerings weren't distributed here, so I was happy with those before being extremely disappointed with AleSmith.I would've ended after that if I hadn't known HF was next.

I'd wished the Hill Farmstead shipment would've had at least one of their APA/IPA's because, well, they've been the best damn beers I've ever had. Just an Edward, Abner, Harlan...just one.

The distribution business as it now exists is tough enough, keeping product from everywhere as fresh as possible. This model of distribution to ALL points seems to me to be very difficult. I had a friend and customer launch a similar business in the late 90s. It just about made him nuts. These type businesses always seem to be a fine idea, but the moving parts are very hard to predict and then control.

Got the HF shipment yesterday. Unfortunately I have to say that I'm probably going to sell/ship off two of the bottles.

This is where variety in a shipment can help. If every option per month is of a style I don't care for, I can't continue to throw $50 away each month. AleSmith, while being old, common beers, at least had variety going for it.

Figured I would re-visit this beer club to see how things are coming along and as I look at clubs to possibly join for 2018 but appears it's not. Wasn't the BrewDog box the Sept delivery? That does not appear to have been shipped yet with no definite timeline of when it will definitely go out other than they "hope" to get shipment out by the end of November. I'm curious if anyone knows which party is it that may be the reason for all the delays since they started up. Is the brewery not having the beers ready on time? Is it issues with shipping or is there something with Brewiety not keeping to their schedule? I have not seen any direct reason given other then it's "delays completely out of our control."

They mentioned a while back on FB that the problem was Brewery originated .

Guess they don't even know what's going on. Brewiety responded to a comment on Saturday that, "As soon as we have a hard ship date I will let everyone know. There were delays that are completely out of our control but we are working to ensure this does not happen going forward."

I signed up in August and still haven't received any beer. Apparently I signed up 4 days after the cutoff for the Hill Farmstead beers (which they never communicated). I reached out to have them cancel my subscription before it ever started. I'll check back later when they fix their supply chain and if there are more appealing beers.

So I signed up, probably in late July. I got the August shipment, which was in good condition and on time. And then nothing since other than an email about brewing issues with BrewDog back in early September.
But nothing since. Not another brewery scheduled for October or November or any more information. Clearly they're out of their depth and unable to secure what they promised.

So I just cancelled. At least I got some beer once.
