Super nano? Their website indicates that they're distributing kegs to a LOT of places in MD.

Not to toot our own horn, but the Trader Joe's/Sierra Nevada collab Pronto IPA is pretty fantastic. Brewed with hibiscus and mango, but it really just reminds me of a NE-IPA, without the haze and more carbonated. Also $4.99 a bomber ain't bad.

That term sure gets thrown around loosely these days.

Any idea if their sours are barrel-aged?

Yes I think the label on the Framboise was French Oak barrels (could be wrong though). I think all the sours I read on the label seemed to be barrel aged. Nice moderate funk/horseblanket noticed in the famboise...don't seem to be the quick fix kettle sours most locals take a stab at.

The term NE-IPA? I'm not even the biggest fan of the style, but I will say the Pronto tastes (though doesn't feel) very reminiscint of beers I've had that literally are that style.

Of course, if that's not what you were referring to, then nevermind...I didn't say nuthin...

Isn't haziness one of the prerequisites on the style?

I was mostly referring to the flavor with my comparison, not so much feel or appearance. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough.

I said "super-nano" because I heard a rumor that this guy makes the beer out of his home garage. Not sure how the permits / regs. work out on that. That's kinda super-nano, unless we reserve that term for brewing in a bathtub.

Preciate the info. Just kinda surprised the output is probably higher than say, Transmitter.

Yeah, I agree. There's alot of kegs (or 22oz bottles?) floating around at quite a few places on that listing from their website. Seems like alot of output for a garage operation. Maybe he has a bat-cave underground brewing facility funded by DARPA.

Based on the shout out I went to Barrack Inn to see what they had. Had two bottles Apricot barrel aged sour in French Oak and a Cuvee also in French Oak. They had 4 beers on tap. IPA (average at best), a Belgian Dubbel (slightly above average), a Rye Saison (above average great rye nose and yeasty goodness on palate), and a Coconut Coco Nib Stout (above average in flavor but need some body and carb help). I was able to learn that he actually brews in a barn on his property but because it's zoned agriculture/residential he can't have a tap room on site.

I asked a few weeks ago and still no luck:

Any sightings on 12pk cans of SN Oktoberfest? I'm hoping for that great price at Harris Teeter, but I'm also nervous about swinging by there today as they can be crazy on holidays.

I was at the Laurel TW earlier today and I did see single cans of the SN Oktoberfest. I saw the 12pks, but I did not look to see if they were cans or bottles. You may want to call them up and ask.

CBC had some cans of 14th St Tribute yesterday - one four-pack pp at $16.5+ or $5/can.
