Foothills Bourbon Barrel Sexual Chocolate 2017

A few buddies and I are thinkin' of tryin' to make the release this year, but it's possible we may not be able to get outta work and thus not arrive until 6pm. Those that have gone previous years, will there be a chance that we could still get bottles? We'd be comin' from Raleigh so while we would definitely be interested in it on draft, we also really want some bottles. Personally I want at least one to share with two of my best friends (both now recent fathers who don't get to do this kinda fun stuff anymore). Thanks fer any advice or pointers!

 

6pm on Saturday?

I mean you will miss the best part if you come that late (the share), but from the last couple of years, you shouldn't have an issue getting bottles. I will bet even more bottles make it out to distro this year than last.

 

Yeah, I know I'll miss out on the bottle share. Can't win 'em all. Hopefully next year!

 

@Kyte I -think- last year I showed up around 2 or 3pm and was one of the last to get bottles. But it's also entirely possible I'm thinking of two years ago. It gets easier to get bottles every year (as they make more and it doesn't have the same cache as it used to) so really good chance that 6pm would be fine.

 

I got bottles on Sunday last year.

 

3 yrs ago, it lasted until Monday.

 

This was the just part of the EPIC bottle share from 4 yrs ago. One of the best release day bottle shares I have ever been to. Whales everywhere. For those that were there. I had the 2 growlers of the Original CCB Caffe Americano. I almost got mobbed pouring that beer.

 

Bottles lasted a while last year. I went up Tuesday afternoon and scored some.

Any bottles left? Deciding whether or not to drive over from Greensboro.

 

I'm sitting at foothills now. Plenty of bottles left. It'll easily last through tomorrow

 

They need to start bottling variants or at least advertising their Randall offerings. I had the habanero, cinnamon and vanilla version yesterday at the tasting room and the coffee vanilla version today at the brewpub. Both were excellent.

 

Yeah, I would love to see Foothills branch out and start bottling up some variants, no idea why they don't.

 

Will be passing W-S later today, might have to swing by and see if any bottles are left.

 

Still have cases and 2016/2017 on draft.
