Came across a pic today from September 2, 2016 of my haul of 6 KJ's and 6 Alter's. We need another Friday like this, STAT.

While I understand the sentiment, I think that's selling their current position in the market short. There is obvious demand for full time pours from those who have driven out there for the can release. On a conservative basis let's say they're ripping through ~2000 customers per day Weds-Fri. 8000 customers per week excluding Saturdays. Let's conservatively again say that a quarter of those customers would hang around for a pint or two at ~$7 per pour (a nice markup on their cans).

2000 customers, 1.5 pints each, at $7.00, an additional $21k per week coming in. I know you have to factor in cost of the additional employees, but at a mark up of 50% or more compared to their can prices, I'm sure the profit will outweigh the cost of a couple people hired to help out on the retail can line.

Anyway, point is there certainly seems enough demand to sustain a couple of extra hires to keep the tap lines running, if that they had an inkling to do so.

I should also add that I have no experience running a brewery and could just be way off, selfishly hoping for a regular shot at a pour the next time I make a run out for cans.

    A man can dream.

Seems like the biggest limiting factor right now for on-site pours is parking.

I'm doing a Boston trip later this week. Is the Facebook "Tree House Trading Arena" group the best way to set up IP trades for TH?

Not clear if you're actually going to TH or you're looking to trade for TH in Boston. Either way, I'd use the group you mention if you're looking to set up an IP trade for TH in Boston or other points. If you're going to Tree House, there's also a Tree House IP Line Trades group that's pretty well used.

And if you have any other Boston questions ... feel free to shoot me a PM!

Yep. However, is this the largest batch of one of their DIPA's? We've seen large yields for Eureka and Lights On before but I don't recall seeing one of their IPA's having one this large.

Either way it's a great sign. If 1500+ cases is the norm now that's incredible. Guess we'll wait and see.

And a 1,600 DIPA and. 2k Blonde probably resulted from the same starting batch size.

They're doing more than 20% of the value of that loan in business every month. Yeah there's expenses but let's be real here. They're not hurting.

That one batch of bright will rake in 150k.

Again I understand that there is expenses but if tree house is running on tight margins like I've seen implied I don't know any other micro brewery can stay in business.

Ffs I've seen people here say that they're not sure that monson saw return on investment which is laughable.

Any idea what might get canned this week? Looking at the schedule it doesn't look like Alter Ego or Doppleganger have been brewed too recently...

Ego/Doppel would be nice. My guess is they release Ma sometime in the near future.

Just because the cost per pour is higher than a per can cost doesn't mean that there's more percentage profit. In the time to sell one $7 pour you can sell over $48-60 worth of cans. The employee cost is spread across 12 cans vs one pour. To other peoples points if that person sticks around to drink the poured beer they are taking up parking spots that cost money to increase their parking or takes away from potential can sales. They increase traffic that increases the costs associated either with police details or with employees telling customers where to park. Given their demand if they cared about increasing profit they wold either spend money on ramping up production or increasing the per can price.

They've already done both. Let's hope the can prices don't keep creeping up into Tired Hands or Singlecut territory.

I haven't noticed the price though I can't say I've really paid close attention. Bright is $4.05 which I don't remember being any different than when it was in Monson.

Think all can prices increased by 5c a while ago hence the prices such as $4.05 or $3.80

Yeah, I can't be having a $20 odd 4 pack. Saying that, I'll be across the pond this week and will be encountering $8-10 cans of Cloudwater. Shocking!
