Nice. Says it's scotch barrel aged. I didn't know they released a scotch barrel Saule. Do you have a pic of the bottles?

Also funny how CBS had Alvarado cans today instead of tomorrow. I bet that threw peeps for a loop.

Hey Hoppe - you are correct - on the label it says aged in bourbon barrels. Weird mistake but less peculiar than selling a $30 beer for $13!
    cheers

Yeah they had that same deal for last years Aniversary beer, Poterie. I bought a bunch, it was cheaper than getting it through The Bruery with my society discount. Hope to see this deal at my local Costco!

Any bottles of 3F kriek and A&G still available at CBS or HS?

If u don't mind heading to the east bay Berkeley Bowl West has kriek on the shelf. I'm going to assume A&G is all gone unless a store set some aside for a later release.

    ASB:

Hoeygaarden (4.9%, 15 IBU) is a classic Belgian-style white ale brewed with our friend Peter Hoey ( @urbpeter ), and his new brewery @urbanrootsbeer in Sacramento. This O.G. hazy beer is infinitely refreshing and sessionable; selfishly brewed to beat the late summer heat! $14/6-pack no limit.

    Countach
(8.1%, 45 IBU) is a Double IPA fermented with a blend of expresssive yeasts, resulting in notes of juicy nectarine & ripe pineapple, then heavily dry hopped with a blend Vic's Secret, Citra, Hallertau Blanc, & Azacca. $20/4-pack, limit 1 case (six 4-packs) per person.

YESSSS! Holy shit, if anyone has never tried Melvin they're in for a treat. I think they will blow people's minds here. Such good beer and generally always available on the shelf in cities they distribute to.

Last night, Original Gravity and ISO Beers in SJ got in Alvarado Countach 4-packs. 22+tax at OG and 25+tax at ISO. ISO also sells single cans for around 6-7 apiece.

OG may still have some but ISO definitely does. Last night at ISO I was even able to pick up the last 4-pack of Double Haole Punch from the previous week. Things last longer there, maybe due to the higher price. Still, 25 for a 4-pack of DHP is a steal. They also had a few other previous releases such as Minesweeper IPA, Mai Tai PA, etc.

Just two blocks away (though losing that great cut-through to Cellarmaker). At least their adding food!

I'm gonna miss the convenience of having that straight shot to Cellarmaker and Vive La Tarte. Free parking has been harder to find in the current area though because of that construction a few doors down.
