Lol at the empty bottle and carrier. Reminds me of ebay wales that ship with a bottle cap of your choice. Those are bad ass glasses though.
Look at a majority of the eBay auctions. A lot of have a quote along the lines "....with free Russian River/Cantillon Cork/Bruery Bottle Cap/Three Floyds Coaster for the winner"
I'm relatively new to trading and someone just shipped me two founders bottle caps in a trade and it was like the discovery of the bone by the apes in 2001. I looked at these caps and was playing with them and scratching my head with them, I couldn't figure out why they were sent to me and what I was supposed to do with them. I eventually ended up throwing them over the local monolith.
If they were knocking around loose in the box it could have been to cover up sloshing noises. I've received boxes with pennies/uncooked pasta/uncooked rice in them to cover that up. Otherwise it may have just been a little brewrania extra. A lot of people collect bottle caps.
No, they were in their own container. And I do collect bottle caps (for some future project yet to be determined) but I live in Chicago and founders is kinda like a hometown brewery and I have probably 100 founders caps. It was just funny to find them in their, wasn't really insulting the guy, just kinda struck me as odd when I found em.
