Before things get lost in the "Darkness Day 2012... No camping out" thread, I thought we should start a new planning thread (because there are not enough threads having to do with Darkness one way or another!).

Here is the link to the "what are you bringing" spreadsheet:

I think also if we pick a designated area to set up the main sharing tables, it will keep things from getting too spread out. May be have grills at one end, pop-up canopies at the other?

I have said this over multiple threads but again: If anyone needs a ride in the chicagoland area let me know

I'm not suggesting that everyone set up camp at this location, but more of a central gathering area, after you have staked out your line spot.
I would hope everyone would respect the line and return to their spots prior to wristband time. It seemed that this was the case last year.

It definitely was the case, and I knew you didn't mean it that way, but it's good to remind noobs

Yeah, let's hope that's the case. Though, it always seems that there is some A-hole that thinks for some reason that he's the exception to the rule. This has happened at almost every non-ticketed line/camping event I've ever been to. The best example was the Xbox 360 release night where some idiot showed up 30 minutes before the store opened and just walked to the front of the doors and tried to start a riot with others in line who had been there all night. X-)

Added my goods to the above brew spreadsheet. I'll be there with other BA guys but i'm not sure what they are all bringing at this point.

If anyone has any portable lights, that would be awesome. It gets pretty dark out and it would be nice to be able to see other people and the beer on the tables.

I'll add a couple gas lanterns to my list of things to bring!

If someone has a generator, I can try to bring my set of stage lights. They are on a frame with telescoping tripods.

I have a Halloween strobe light from Target that also makes spooky sounds.

Isn't there usually an RV? Depending on how much the lights pull, you could probably run off there with ample extension cords.

Just added my wonderful brews

Includes a growler of black note, the pappy-aged one-off Bo & Luke and others. LMK what else I have that you want to try. I am not a greedy man, and have lots to share.

EDIT: Looks like a couple of breweries may be donating a few Growlers to me to bring to share. For those, I'll want feedback to relay to the brewer. Huzzah!
