Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night...nor endless updates, half-delayed...stays this courier from the swift completion of his appointed round.

pFriem recently announced they added one at their tasting room. As expected, the crowler labels are among the best in the business.

Edison City Alehouse in South Tacoma is doing a series of limited crowler labels with artwork from local artists. Pretty cool from what they've shown so far.

Nice. Keep the updates coming, and when I'm back from Japan in a week or so, I'll do a proper full post with all the new information.

Was going to pose a question about the gap in graphic design for crowler stickers vs. 16oz cans, but a few more minutes of thought and a google image search basically answered my own question. Always nice to see someone putting some more art into the format, though.

Well, I've been back more than a week. I also have to add The Bine in Bothell, from where I purchased a crowler of Skookum's double IPA, Gene Pool. Which was delicious. And, which is why I can't remember much of last night after finishing the DVRed USMNT vs. PAN World Cup Qualifier game.

I'll update the list this weekend, so please include any and all updates in the meantime. Cheers!

Ha, this has been my little honey hole lately.

With Crowlers, there is sometimes the dilemma of filling a glass growler vs the aluminum crowler based on when you plan to consume the beverage. Especially if you plan to consume the entire growler (32oz or 64 oz) in a day or two. Does the extra $1-$2 up-charge for crowlers vs growlers at some paces sway the decision?

You can find some really good bargains on growlers/crowlers vs bombers (22oz) on occasion. For example, you can sometimes get High Water Camp Fire Stout in a 64 oz growler for $15 vs buying the traditional 22oz bottle for $8. Or opt for the 32 oz growler for $7. Really good deals if you plan to consume or share quickly.

I've said it before; the 22oz format is Satans handiwork, and deserves the death it's dieing across the industry. personally, for me, if the crowler is a buck or two more than the 32oz minigrowler, it's worth it. A few days ago, I cracked a two week old crowler, and it was just as fresh as the sample I had at the brewery. If one is going to drink it that day, or soon, I would use the reusable, glass option. More environmentally friendly.

    I apologize for the delay!

I learned some things since the last update. I already knew that life is busy when one has a four-year old daughter. However, I also learned that life is even busier when one has a four-year old daughter, and then some drunk high school teen, post-Homecoming, drives his car through one's retaining wall, fence, arbor vitae, and puts a hole in the side of one's house. I learned that life is even busier when a drunk high schooler drives his car into your house, and then you have to deal with an insurance agency and four construction/yard/clean-up/fence contractors for estimates because merely going through your own property insurance would raise your rates, even if your house didn't hit his car but rather vice-versa.

    I digress!

The updates below - powered by a two-year old bomber of Fremont Dark Star, a thick slab of leftover pecan pie, and good headphoned music - include all of the recent posts as well as Chainline Brewing. My Pacific Northwest geography extending beyond Western Washington is still suspect at best, so let me know if you'd rather see one of these establishments moved to a different region. For example, I've added "Central" to the "Eastern Washington" region. (Come at me, bastards lucky enough to live in the Cascades for deep winter turns!) Cheers!
