No one's been talking about it so I'll just leave this here.

I'm skipping this release - but cuz I'll be out of town all week. Headed to PDX.

These are two of my favorites, definitely gonna try to make it, work permitting.

Do folks think these will likely be gone tomorrow or last a couple of days? Not sure how recent releases have gone.

My guess is DD will sell out tomorrow, and Mt. Nelson might last a bit longer. DD is one of the most sought after beers, second only to the Juice Gymnastics release I would guess?

This will be the 5th can release from Cellarmaker. They've all sold out within the first few hours of day 1, except for one of the pale ales which sold out within the first few hours of day 2. So you've pretty much gotta be there.

Thanks for the info. Pretty quick in/out if I'm there around 2, or should I expect a long wait?

I'd get there before 2, I usually get there between 1:20 and 1:30 and have bottles in hand between 2 and 2:15.

So easy, had Way Chill Vibes which was great and Maximum Joy which was okay.

Pretty quick in and out. Got there a little after 2 and probably only waited 15 minutes. Maybe about 40 people in line when I left. So happy they did a pale and a DIPA. That's my ideal type of release :-)

Plus Mount Nelson is one of my absolute favorite Pale Ales, period. This first can is a little more bitter than the last bottle run, so I'll let it sit for a week or so before cracking the next one.

It really is amazing how easy it is to get their cans considering the quality of their beer and how crazy it is at a lot of breweries these days.

As someone who only goes to a few local breweries for special releases, does it have in part to do with them intentionally doing it at the most inconvenient times possible? Always Tuesday's, always in the afternoon but just late enough that it's not really lunch-time...

Perhaps that is the norm, but if it's not - seems like they are intentionally trying to create as little of a scene as possible. Thinking about swinging by after work...

I think it partly has to do with the fact that unless you live in SF, it's a chore to get into the brewery from the outside lands. There's a bridge toll or a BART fare, parking can be expensive. It's not just some place you can saunter down to...

And that is why I haven't gone up for a release yet. Massive time committment for a Tuesday afternoon. I would literally work a half-day, which is a stretch just to get some beer. I hit the brewery every time I'm in SF though!

How does this batch of Double Dobis compare to previous batches?

Had a half pour while I was there and I'd say very strong, on par or if not better than my memories of previous batches.

Cracked a can of each yesterday and DD is tasting pretty much the same. I was hoping for a juicy version like their first bottle release, but this one is still excellent.

Mt Nelson seems a bit more bitter than I remember and has a weird aftertaste that I can't quite peg. Hopefully it gets better as it sits a bit. Still good tho

Surprisingly, both cans are still available today?!!?!? Shocked!

I figure I'll let my cans sit a couple days before opening. A little bit of a rest from canning and a backpack ride and a car ride...

Anyone want to report back on how much is left if they make it there? Never made the trip up from Monterey but may try to tonight or ideally tomorrow night if they last that long.

Just picked up one four pack of each. Not sure if all that was left was behind the bar but if so there was a decent stack of each. Not sure if there's enough to make it til tomorrow. Also picked up some Alvarado Precious Oils at CBS, going pretty quick.
