Do they always have beer to go? Going on Friday and hoping to get some beer to go

Crowlers of almost everything on tap. No growlers, and I believe cans sell out rather quickly.

Visited for the first time this weekend. I was absolutely blown away by the sours and sour IPAs. Echo Sender, Extra Solar and Planetary Heart were the standouts this weekend.

They make amazing sours, but I am more interested in their Citra/Mosaic IPA. I may go if I have the time.

First time going there Saturday for cans. What's a good time to show up?

They haven't announced case counts yet, correct? It's hard to say without that information. If it's similar to the last release, I'd get there before 11 for sure.

like the dude above said its hard to say without case count but I will tell you plenty of people that showed up at noon or little after got the cans last release... also releases are still pretty new to them so its hard to predict turnout too accurately

Alright thanks. No harm in showing up a bit early then. Haven't had any of their beer yet, how are their sour IPAs?

I been meaning to chime in here that I had Hudson Valley Planetary Heart at District 96/Burger Loft and that beer was killer. Nice, clean tartness and citrus complemented by a mellow, sweet vanilla flavor. Delicious.

Walked the dog by just a couple minutes ago, huge line, to the road and then some.

Went to Hudson Valley Brewery for the first time on Thursday which was actually for me and my fiancee's engagement shoot. John-Anthony and his crew were super nice and accommodating. No questions/hesitations about the shoot and one of his guys (can't remember his name) gave me and my fiancee a pour on the house.

Had a few pours after and I really enjoyed Silhouette and Extra Solar.

    First time with this one.

Amazing sour IPA, in fact one of the best sour IPA I have had!

Gotta keep these guys on my radar more often!

I did not think that I would like a sour IPA better than INCANDENZA but I was proven wrong with ULTRASPHERE!

This is "Artisan" brewing at it's finest!

Ultrasphere blew me away. Had it at the end of a whale share with the likes of Maman, BA Abraxas, BA Dorothy, MD, DDG, and it was one of my top 3 that day. I had a lot of doubt about the "Sour IPA" genre until that one. Amazing stuff.

For real. While much of the beer world has (and continues to be) focused on tradition and stylistic adherence, I find myself becoming much more interested in the creative experimental side of beer vs. the rigorous perfectionist aspect. To me, Ultrasphere epitomizes what I'm looking for in craft, something new, innovative, and delicious without concern for bastardization of a 'traditional' style or explicit excess (hops/sugar/tartness/etc.) for the sake of extreme palate shock n awe.

If other breweries are able to replicate what Hudson Valley is doing, I can definitely see their sour IPA style succeeding the NE IPA as the next major sought after style among trend followers. It seems to add a few additional layers of complexity onto the 'baby food' flavor profile while maintaining a pleasant approachability and ease of drinking.

Was here again a couple weekends ago and everything I had blew me away. I knew when these guys split off from Bacchus that they were gonna be making some fantastic beer, but I think I underestimated how really special they were going to be.
