ugh. at least there is no teku release. i also assume since once is an IPL, maybe it won't be too much hype?

This strikes me as similar to the silent Green Power release the night before the "official" opening of the new space. Green Power lasted through the silent release night, the following "official" release night, and was available very briefly at the start of the following day. It was also available with ddh dream in green the first "official" day it was announced as available. This likely won't be as bad as that. Also this weekend's release looks awesome.

Hoping Citra Daydream lasts until tomorrow night. I know the last several mid-week releases did, so, I'm hopeful

Line quite short. 12 deep. Should be easy peasy

Doubtful these 2 would even sell out on a Saturday.

    Triple Cream is truly decadent.

Not overwhelmed by Citra Daydream (only whelmed?). It's got that abrasive mineral bite on the finish that Aint Nothin Nice (and a lot of the 5.5% to 6.5% beers have), but the taste up front is considerably more pleasant.

And All Enigma has turned into Green Power. Where did this melon come from all of a sudden?

I just had one and its 10x better than the previous cans I've had. That oniony taste is completely gone now.

I can't do these 10% OH beers anymore. Fully Loaded was the most overrated beer on the face of this planet with 700+ people in line (yes, IN) by 630am. Enigma smells delicious and the opening is great but I find it so boozy.

3rd anny with 3 weeks of age was king of all 10% beers by a large large margin IMO

I'm sympathetic with this. It is the exception that I love their IPA's >9%, and even then I don't feel they're better than the best double IPA's they make. Third Anniversary was real nice, but frankly, if they don't make it again, I'm just guessing or playing along to say I would drink that over the double dry hopped beers they put out regularly. Like I said before, I appreciate the new stuff but these regulars (ACE, DMD, Mylar, Forever Simcoe, the Daydream series) are all so good that any beer that's better is just better by a hair of novelty.

Oh but keep that new new coming.

It's a tad disingenuous to say any beer that's better is only by novelty.

12 to 18 months ago people were saying, "Just perfect green diamonds, hop showers, all green, etc, and stop with new beers. Really dial in the old beers!" Even look at how the conversation around lactose ipas has changed.

Since they didn't, we've been able to get all the dream series, mylar, broccoli, and any of a number others! While I agree that the "regulars" are incredible and an enormous treat for us to have, I'm stoked they're always trying new things, if for no other reason than while everybody is buying cream of broccoli and vic secret/mosaic I can easily grab all the ddh forever simcoe! Case Limit!?! I'm going to talk them into selling me a pallet of that beer.

Also if each new beer is better only by a hair, after a year of new beers that's a full head of hair and you tell me who doesn't want that!

true... and they did "dial in" hop showers (i believe kanger said they tweaked the recipe a bit).

speaking of new beers, I thought the citra daydream was great. not as heavy/pungent as some of the other big citra bombs, and with that smooth oat mouthfeel. With a fridge stocked with triple cream, AGE and heavy mettle, this is a welcome lower abv addition.

People who do not think that muling is the main reason they sell out the hyped releases every Saturday are delusional. Just check out the FB group pages. It's usually a 4 pack + $10...

    dhaakon math time:
    4 cases = 24 4 packs
minus 1 4pack per personal consumption
    20 x $10 cost = $200

    wait in line 4 hours = $50/hour

At that price you can even get someone else to wait in line for you and then break even on getting everything you want for free with no wait!

mid week release with an IPL and no crazy ddh beers?

they have a better chance of brewing a good sour than selling out
