this ought to be fun. If I miss out I still have 2 bottles from December at home. Didn't think we would see Mex Brunch so soon again since it was less than a year ago, cheers!

@glennl Can we assume the recipe for this years Mexican Brunch is with similar mild peppers as last year, or is it possible they went back to the spicier peppers such as habanero. Hoping for the spicier option. Thanks.

As a former NJ native, current out-of-stater who has to beg his sister to drive down for big releases...I have to say I like the switch to the online format. Out here in CA most of the breweries do things this way, and I think it's the fairest, easiest method there is for bottle releases when memberships/societies aren't in place.

    Good luck, all.

The peppers have never changed. They've always been Ancho, a mild variety. It is not supposed to be a spicy/hot beer.

Thanks. I thought I remembered it being spicier on tap in 2015 than last years bottle Must've been my palate.

Im lucky that I have a family close to Kane that will run over and wait on line. I can usually get whatever bottles are released.
While I think this is better than having 150 neckbeards wait in line before opening each Saturday. I still think a society is the best way to go.

looks like the price per bottle is only $16 ($80/5), it was $18 last year. So, that's cool.

Sort of. But it looks like theres a $12 service charge so kind of a wash. I am local, but I like that they mix it up. My only 'complaint' is that if I get through, I have to buy a set. I'm sure I have enough interested friends that would split it with me though.

Is Kane pretty good about moving the bottle on release day? How long do you think it will take if I show up around 12-1 on Saturday... assuming I win.

As a local I'm disappointed with this but I get the issue with parking. Hope they explore other ideas like a bottle club or some sort of loyalty program like airlines/hotel that gets you early access to these things if you're consistently there buying their beer. Even if it only guaranteed a bottle I'd be happy with that.

With you on this, I've never not been able to get bottles and this will prevent some of us. But hey isn't it time to allow others too, someone else will be happy instead. The world goes round. Also if it makes Kane's job easier power to them. If only another semi local brewery with a body part in their name did things to control crowds too. Props kane.

    Guys, it's a pre-sale... not a lottery.

It's a pre-sale that is just like a lottery in that you need a little luck due to how quick it's going to sell out.

seriously. Given the 2 day window of Saturday/Sunday and NO PROXIES and needing to provide ID that matches the registration on the site - this really is a win/win. They'll have a ton available to buy at eventbrite. And if they don't, there is a 100% chance that quite a few of these will go unclaimed because some one from 6 hours away didn't pay attention to "no proxies" or will not be able to get to the brewery in the time frame.

I am sure that you'll be able to get your ticket provided you go to buy within 1-2 hours. Remember they've been doing 4k+ bottle runs. So even at 4K bottles at 5 bottles a person that is still 800 people...
