When did u come down? I'm sorry about that- we call last call nightly at 1130- and have to have everyone out by 12. That was aldermans call for us to get the liquor license. We don't lock doors till around 1145- I actually may change website to last call at 1130 so this doesn't happen. Again my apologies

 

Rehabbed residential unit pricing isn't comparable to commercial - especially a graffiti'd warehouse 3+ years ago when Other Half opened its doors. I guarantee they opened down there because it was cheap as hell.

 

srsly i don't mind paying a dollar or two more per beer if it saves me 2 hours in traffic and $5 in gas. it all comes clean in the wash.

how much is your time worth?

 

like, you can always get that brick of tecate at 711 if you're worried that much about money. it will also get you drunk.

 

@NNN , the guy was just making an observation. clearly he wouldn't have made a special trip out to FR if he's solely focused on cost/time.

Thanks for the conversation and hospitality folks. I'm flying out tonight and wish I could stay to hit up some other breweries like half acre and mikerphone. If anyone is coming to NYC or BK message me for whats happening in the beer scene and I can give some pointers!

Thanks. Yeah 11:30 I would have understood. It was 11:05 when I got there last night. Both front doors were locked, although the big front windows to the left of the door were wide open. The bar area itself was pretty full but the tables were mostly empty with some chairs on tables already. I called in to the hostest and she was pretty nonchalant about it "being slow so we just did last call."

Unfortunate but I'll be back. Just not for a night cap.

Second great point- we do need to try and get share in. Honestly Tuesdays are slower than Mondays for us Bc of the burger night.

Maybe second or third Tuesday in October? Thoughts?

10/17 works best for me. Moving the weekend before and god know my wife probably won't let me outta the house.

 

If there's a desire to do it on a weekend I'd be willing to host one at my place in the city on the first Sat in Oct (10/7)

I like the weekday idea. Most of my weekends are mostly booked in october as well.
