Good question, I didn't think about that. I imagine they will keep the leftovers on tap though it's possible that they're only getting sixtels of each beer or something like that. Probably a longshot that the JREAMs make it to the weekend regardless, though.

one their site the taplist was updated today...looks like they still have the beers they had yesterday plus the German beers all on

though, the berry jreams must've kicked...not listed

How often does Diamondback do can releases? I'm going to be there next Saturday.

Amazing, that is a ridiculous German tap list. Went to college in Baltimore - wish I was in town for this! Yeah who wants local craft when you can have any of those beers,

I was hoping they would have the local craft still on incase I go there

I would prefer the local craft (not available where I live in PA) over the imports

Is the US not currently producing the best beer in the world ?!?

I think - after a few years of drinking modern craft beer (IPAs, BA stouts, sours) one might discover German beers that have been made for centuries - and you'll understand why. I drink more American craft than from elsewhere but I jump at the chance to drink good and hard to get German beer.

They've been doing them about once a month. I haven't seen anything around for a release in September yet. The last one they did at the brewery was Green Machine in early August and they did a mid-August release of DQ'd at Max's. They do fill growlers though.

understood, I like to stray away from modern craft beer as well from time to time

with that many imports I'm a bit lost...if I ordered something off that list I would probably shoot for something like Schneider Weisse which i've had before and I consider a brewery with a good reputation

but that's something that's a lot more widely available than the local stuff which a good amount will be one offs or rotating beers that aren't always available

    don't worm my chicks

Thanks. I probably won't be able to make a growler work with no fridge for a few days but could probably buy a 4 pack or 2. Otherwise, I'll just enjoy some samplers.

The opportunity to try lots of beers in the sample size is sometimes the best way to go when Maxs does one of their many special weekends, if that appeals to you. As far as being lost, trust me, there will many there who can offer some excellent advice, again, if that appeals to you. And with the Indians playing so well, maybe Bruce will buy everyone a round. Second thought, probably not.

    they do flights? half pours?

I've only been once and just ordered pints...didn't notice anyone drinking anything other than pints while there

They typically do pints and 5 oz tasters. For the German Beer Fest you can get steins and 1L or 2L boots for many of the beers.

ended up making it out to Max's after my wife and kids went to bed

had both German and craft on...still had all Burley Oak except the double berry I believe

did get one German beer for my sister

I was even able to swing by Union and grab some cans of Tee Time, as well as doulbe duckpin

drove by The Wine Source and was really tempted to stop in to see if they had the Manor Hill release available but didn't want to push my pregnant wife to her limit

What were your thoughts on the Tee Times? thought they were both really good. Would've drank them all summer if they were released earlier this year. The peach and wildberry from last release were really good as well.

only had the tangerine so far, it was real good...drank it in the morning around breakfast time so I thought the tangerine would be more fitting

looking forward to the raspberry lemon which seems to be better received

I'll be coming up from Asheville for the Bears game as well. Recently it has turned into a solo trip for me so i am finalizing a place to stay and probably just going to buy a single ticket (not unless you have one :-) ) Maybe we can grab a drink or 2.

I am thinking about going to Octoberfest at M&T Field on 10/14. Is it worth a shit? Decent price at $39
    Opinions?

Usually the beer events at M&T are for people who are looking for quantity over quality. I’m sure there will be some decent local and regional stuff there but I imagine it will probably be mostly flagship beers and Oktoberfests. So it depends on what you’re looking for, but I personally would just take my $39 and go to Max’s.

Also, FWIW, Max’s has $3.50 drafts of SN Oktoberfest throughout the month.
