I just had it a few hours ago. I liked it for the first 6oz. It came a bit much for me after that. Heavy mouthfeel, getting too sweet (I was getting hints of a DFH 120 minute IPA flasback). It's a solid, creamy beer. Not someone I would order again or drink a lot. Major props on the execution and concept though, just not for me.

Enjoying the Citra Daydream single IPA much more

    This is an interesting question....

For me, and funny enough that you mention JA, but the thing I love about their IPLs is that crispness from a lager on the start and then the juiciness from the "unorthodox" hops that most lagers don't have. I really haven't liked most of the non-JA made IPLs for the most part.

For my money, I still prefer a German beer if I want a pilsner or a lager over an American made one. Most breweries don't do the IPL thing too well, and frankly, if I'm in the mood for a pilsner/lager I don't want Citra, mosaic, etc hops involved. I just want that crispness/breadiness.

Totally agree. If I want a pilsner, I'll walk around the corner to my local grocer and buy a 4 pack of Bitburger for $4

Boogie Board Stuntz isn't even a real Kölsch!

Yet grits and greens was my favorite pilsner. I knew it wasn't traditional by any means, but it reminded me of the original style enough.

Dont even get me started on OH and why they seem to hate that style so much.

Its called a Kolsch and its resembles nothing like a Kolsch. Then there's that other one that looked like a pineapple daiquiri. I feel that breweries can say they are being "innovative" but call it something else, especially when there are strict guidelines for the Kolsch style.

It might not be as helpful for growlers since they don't seem to offer fills for everything, but the website seems to stay pretty up to date with what's on for pours.

Probably a shot in the dark, but anyone have a sense of how much Citra Daydream is left?
