Goose Island Employee Only pack

    Saw this at a local liquor store. Haven't had any of the beers yet. For those who have had these beers, are they decent ? The Oatmeal Stout was an old discontinued beer they just brought back, right ?

    The Fulton St. Blend is a pretty nice coffee blonde. Not sure about the others...

    The Oatmeal Stout was discontinued before the buyout, right ? That would explain why I wasnt able to find it around here.

    Too late to edit. Just saw its not a 12 pack. I would now pay around $32 for a full case

    Be interesting to see if this shows up in Goose Island's back yard.

    And yeah, the Oatmeal Stout was discontinued quite a few years back -- just brought back? Maybe only for this pack.

    I've seen it in 12-packs and its everywhere. My local Jewel has it for $10.99 for a 12 pack so a real steal.

    Edit: I now realize you're in PA - Jewel is our local grocery store - so its not something hard to find out here. I know PA is generally a bit more in terms of cost, but I doubt it would be that much more than it is here.

    Well the variety pack( guessing its not this one) and the core beers are $34.59 plus tax for a case based on the web site of the beer place I shop at. At $10.99 a 12 pack I would grab a few cases of this. My guess is I might find a few of these in a mix a six and would pay $10.99 to try them. I have my eye out.

    Are these beers worth the $34.59+ if I find them? Its a few $ less than Sierra Nevada.

    Edit......just found a place asking $22 a twelve pack.......Pass

    I'd like to see a twelve pack of Bourbon County selections! Pricey and limited I'm sure, but I'd buy some.

    Yeah, distributors bumping up prices on beers they think they can get more for is ridiculous. I can understand it a little bit for rare stuff, but this is getting out of hand.

    I've gotta say, I still can't get over the fact that a Pennsylvania has such expensive beer prices. I thought beer was expensive in California, Massachusetts and New York but never would have thought PA easily topped them all. Everything is $3-4 more expensive on average. Absolutely ridiculous. What is the reason behind this? Are distributors paying off local politicians? I guess if the people are willing to pay, everyone gets a "piece of the action" so to speak. If I lived over there I'd go over the border for my beer runs

    $14.99 is the price in Arizona for a 12 pack at Total Wine. That is really not bad at all honestly, in line with other beers, so a decent buy in my book.

    Saw it while shopping today -- $16 for the 12 pack. :astonished: The $11 you saw must have been a sale.

    I see the image above says it's a full case, but not the ones at our Jewel -- they were the same size as all of the other mix-12-packs and I even double-checked the quantity.

    Ah, could be - Ill have to double check. And yes, I haven't seen a full 24 pack anywhere. Its just 12-packs around here.
