Burgeon Beer Company (2018)

Really great to see this! Price point and time of release may determine if I get out to pick some up. But they have been doing solid haze from what I have tasted.

 

Great guys brewing great beer. One the best new breweries in the county.

 

This has become one of my go-to-spots. It is 1/4 mile from my work desk, so I'm there with a coworker once a week. I heard some cans were coming. I like these guys, all 3 owners, very cool and they love talking about beer! Could be my favorite new North county brewery since Rip Current.
Last week they had a new hazey IPA collab w/ Stone on called Universal Secret, it was very good. Granted, I had not had a beer in 5 days, so I should go tomorrow for another and determine if it was as good as I thought last week.

 

Had Frosty Treat last night. I mean it was beer and all, but I would not order it again. Easily outclassed, to my palate, by MT's NE-style IPAs. But I definitely look forward to trying others, including of that style.

 

I agree, wasn't big on Frosty Treat, but Everybody's Juicin, and Universal Secret were both very good.
The ESB collab with Mother Earth was quite delicious as well.

 

Just chiming in out of my love for balance. Frosty Treat and CitraSmella kinda sucked, to my palate at least, but Hitched on Haze is a vast improvement. No scratchiness (chalk). Would get again.

 

I enjoy that they can do multiple styles of IPA's (West Coast/NEIPA) really well. Burgeon reminds me a lot of Moonraker up in Norcal, loving everything Anthony and crew are doing!

 

Their best beers aren't their IPAs.

 

They had a recent IPA called 30 & Thriving, I thought it was fantastic and perhaps their best IPA to date, and I've actually liked many of them. I am there with work friends at least once a week because it is the closest brewery to our office and its quite enjoyable every time. I would say they could certainly improve the wait times in line, even with 2 registers that line can go rather slow.

 

Luckily this place is still under the radar enough that waiting in the line is optional, and there's still plenty later in the day after the line's gone. Hoping it remains like that for awhile.

 

Looks like they're gonna start doing online sales.

 

I don't know anything about them but cheers to another forward thinking brewery offering online sales!

Also, it's almost Alpha King season!!!!

 

Plus they have entered distribution allowing preorders at various bottle shops. Glad that they are spreading the love.

 

Yep, this is great news to me since I moved away from north county and won't get there very often now.

 

Ill be taking my son to Legoland this weekend. Looking forward to trying Burgeon out.
