I emailed Burial. They are sending a very small amount of beer to Ohio just this Fall for special events, etc, but it will not be a regular thing so don't expect to see it all around town or all the time unfortunately.

Would there be another Bodhi / Creeper bottling in the next month? want to send some, but can wait rather than trying to send 8/30 batch at this point.

They bottled some Bodhi on 9/11. Not sure about Creeper. Should be one more this month I think ? @tcorder219

Shoutout to Combustion Brewing in Pickerington. Stopped in there for the first time last week and came away very impressed. Their Breakfast Stout was very, very good, also tried their imperial red which was solid. Nice taproom.

They have a good portfolio of beers, have a lot of different types brewed with coffee. Need to get back and try some of their IPAs, but it definitely fills a very empty void that we've had on that side of the city for a while.

Went to Saucy on Sunday before going to a concert across the street at the Bop Stop. Had their Fest Beer (which somehow isn't listed on their website) which was an ok Marzen but was also interested in their Vanilla Pumpkin Porter, Kolsch and Belgian Style Strong Ale so return trips are called for. Place was nicely laid out and a fun place to be. Didn't have anything to eat but two of my dog park friends told me their pizza needs some work to improve the sauce, the irony of which wasn't lost on me.

So we stopped at Willoughby Brewing last night... Honestly, for those into NE IPA's, their new recipe for Cosmic is incredible as well as Hazy, which is as good or better than most NE IPA's I've had (a ton). I get a pretty constant inventory of Trillium, my favorite producer of the style, and these latest Hazy/Cosmic batches are at the same level. More impressive than Hoof examples for reference (if you want comparisons "locally").

I've always liked Willoughby, but damn. With these tweaks in the IPA recipes and with PBCP and Nutsmasher... Incredibally solid lineup in various styles. I will be stopping back far more often if this is a sign of what is to come full time!

Their Festbier isn't a Marzen. It's a traditional Festbier. Totally different approach to "Oktoberfest" beer.

Since we're using New to Ohio to post reviews, I was there on Tuesday evening. Had 6 samples...the Festbier (light, bready, crisp finish, delicious), the Pumpkin Porter (eh, good just not my favorite style and very clove driven), the Kristalweizen (amazing flavor for such a refreshing, crushable beer), and three good-to-very-good hoppy beers (WHAS, TPS, Hop it up).

Split some pizzas and had a full pour of the Kolsch. Pizzas were great (white pizza and Cleveland one with kielbasa).

Conclusion: Saucy is easily the best new (less than 2 year old) brewery in Cleveland. The Habituale Kolsch (now in cans!!) is amazing and is in the conversation for new beer I've had this year in Ohio. A few of their beers opening week were a touch dull and lacking in body, but that has been totally remedied. I think they are going to be a force to be reckoned with!

Oh yeah, service was great, so it sounds like they've ironed out some of the past criticisms with that. But this was a Tuesday night and they were not slammed.

Not to split hairs but shouldn't the BA Styles be expanded to reflect this? The Festbier (I knew I fucked up the spelling which was why I was complaining about it not being in the website) was a perfectly refreshing lager but just not what I was ignorantly expecting. Service was fine at the bar by a generically cute barmaid.

    ^^^^ He we go....

The comment on Yakima Fresh had me thinking about Wet Hop season. Anyone have a summary as to what hits OH? There's all kinds of stuff in the PNW forums, but few of those places make it here. Trying to think of stuff off the top of my head and I've got.

    FH Hop Stalker
    Founders Harvest
    Cbus Yakima Fresh

I'm sure theres a ton more - anyone else think of em or have a list?
