Carton Brewing (September 2017)

With size of production runs at two roads this has to hit distro

 

No inside info, but noticed the local coffee roaster had some Carton kegs on the floor during Taste of Atlantic Highlands. May see a coffee beer soon.

 

STOP, STOP, STOP now, stoppidy stop stop, stop right there...
they are friends as you know; and we have helped them out setting up nitro iced coffee stations all over town; and we lend them kegs sometimes.

 

Sorry if I'm spreading bad info, but maybe @NiceBeerCans can give Fair Mountain Coffee Roasters a mention on the initial post going forward along with the other food and drink (although I split my Yirgacheffe dollars between them and Jersey Shore Coffee Roasters, locally).

In other news, the new building looks to have made some good progress recently.

And a big thanks to Carton for giving back to the town and participating In the Taste event. It would be nice if a few more of the local business owners were so inclined.

 

It really has seemed to have sprung up relatively quickly, at lesst what can be seen from outside. Seemed to be going slowly there for a moment and then BOOM building.

Really excited to see whats in store for the new space in the future

Ok so you are confirming that there is a nitro iced coffee beer aged on unicorn tears that is imminent and we should start putting our chairs in line now.

Although @augiecarton DID mention something about an everything bagel beer on Steal this Beer yesterday.

 

He didn't specifically say that getting in line now just in case. #linelife

 

Just listened to that one today. If anyone else described making that beer I would likely throw up in my mouth a little bit. When Augie describes it, I start thinking up reasons to have a breakfast beer.

 

I don't think the chair thing would last very long in NJ.

Also I heard there is BA version that was aged in a barrel that formerly contained distilled rainbows.

Picked up some pretty fresh Boat (9/12/17) and a 4-pack of the Two Roads-brewed Red Rye Returning this afternoon.

I've never had RRR, but I'm very excited, as I love piney, resiny hops. Great counterpoint to our era of juicy, citrus everything.

J. Towne Tavern in Hopatcong has Regular Coffee on tap if anyone is in that area.

 

I haven't had Red Rye Returning since I was new to craft beer years ago and I first visited the tap room. Couldn't appreciate it then but I do now. This beer is SOLID. Easy drinking, great bite from the rye, just the right amount of good.

 

Apologies if this has been brought up already, but any info on if there is going to be a 2017 Shipwreck release?

The fact that there are still growlers of last year's batch is both awesome/shocking. That beer is fantastic. This is usually the time of year when it comes out so I wasn't sure if anybody heard anything about it. My friend has a few bottles from the last two years so I hope Shipwreck verticals will continue as a yearly thing in October.

 

They must have made a ton of Shipwreck. Or people sleep on arguably Carton's best beer. Shipwreck is a must travel to purchase beer.
