Yeah. Funny except they were. Obtained legally! Ethics police stand down!

"Found a dude looking to get rid of two!"

How did this dude obtain them?

You know what they say about assuming?

Don't be a tease. If you know that your kegs have legal provenance, explain. If you don't know, own up to your doubts and question your own assumption.

That set up from Brewershardware is attractive, and tempting.

    Oh, you win. Happy?

You talk about spear removal like an expert. Know everything about keg maintenance. Clearly you have a legal way of obtaining other peoples property. And you are not abusing the brewing community.
Feel free to add anything I missed.
    Winner!
    But, karma.

If you buy one you will be branded thief. So basically everyone using a keggle is "abusing the brewing community"?
Yes I know how to clean a spear removed keg. Not rocket problems.
No I am not an expert in spear removal. Yes I safely removed two in 20min.
    You dudes are so odd.

There are legit ways, as I suggested earlier. Contacting a brewery is one, as they will have some ready for disposal now and then.

My keggles were purchased back when I had no time, but some money. They were retired kegs. I have found where each was damaged, then repaired for use as a keggle.

Couple of tips on using kegs for kettles.
If you want a keg, but don't want to steal it, look for kegs from closed breweries. I've seen lots of these floating around bars, distributors, and I'd imagine scrapyards and garages, because they really have nowhere to go. I've got one from a brewery that's been closed for 10 years.
My first kettle was a Heineken keg that worked great for 20 or so batches...then it started leaking. These things are made to hold extreme pressures and extreme heat, but they are not built to have an open flame on them for hours on end. They might not fail, but don't be surprised if they do. Also, many modern kegs have a half-circle 'gash' on the bottom. This is an emergency PRV to prevent an explosion. The metal is very thin there and I'm not sure how well it would hold up to brewing. Something to keep in mind.
Honestly, you can get a 15 gallon stainless pot with a lid for 80 bucks on amazon. I would just go with that.

This is ridiculous. Look, you're in receipt of stolen property. YOU get the lecture. You don't get to lecture us. Just admit it. Hope that it's not a felony in your state. You go to jail, but it's worth the risk for criminal minds. And you have advertised your criminal activity on the internet, so we also know you ain't too sharp neither.

I have keggles. As others have pointed out. You can buy a keg. You can pick them up if they become abandoned and you make an attempt to return the property but are unsuccessful. You chose not to. Don't be surprised if you are branded a thief. Remember, you are a thief. A crook. You. Who is the odd one here? The community who answered your questions or the dude who tries to rationalize his criminal behavior.

You are not an honorable person. Now we all know it. Anyway, good luck. Don't hurt yourself.
