The line never made it to Athens. The 2pm rule made a huge difference! Way less chairs than usual.

Curious to see what impact it would have on a shake release.

Thats a given.. as long as it isn't a pilsner or a lager.

Called it. Super easy release. In and out in 6 minutes. Bonus that there's some really good beers on at the Cafe now (for a while everything I wanted to try was usually at the Ferm, last night it was reversed.

I could get used to this!

They haven't updated yet, but I'd be stunned if any of the 3 were sold out. I picked up a 4-pack of each after 9 last night, and there were stacks of everything still sitting there.

Didn’t love the Feels like, but Sticky Sphere was awesome.

yeah sticky was great... the nectarine ipa was a miss

this has to be the first release where every can made it to the next day? granted only 1 new can but still... that was a case limit and it still made it to the next day

Whoops, thanks for the correction. No idea why they split it into two posts.

I had a glass of the Oktoberfest yesterday during lunch. That beer is excellent!

I would encourage others that enjoy drinking high quality Oktoberfest beer to order the Tired Hands Oktoberfest.

    Cheers!

P.S. I also had a glass of AC as well.

@JackHorzempa I really wouldn't mind some cans of their Oktoberfest for the season at all... Especially if they can be found in the General Store without much fuss.

I wanted to try this. I have a friend who is a homebrewer, a German beer aficionado and a ardent hater of all things Tired Hands (and hazy beer in general), who begrudgingly admitted that beer, from the sound of the description of ingredients, is probably delicious.

I really enjoyed the last batch of Helles Other People cans and I do believe Jean's Germanic beer program is improving. It's cool that despite all the crazy stuff he still pursues this lane.

Shane, as far as I know this is a draft only product but who knows, maybe it will be canned in a week or so?

Jean has canned other of his lager beers (e.g., Trendler Pils) so maybe he will choose to can this Oktoberfest as well?

    Cheers!

FWIW I have always thought he produced a number of high quality German beers. I think the Helles has been and continues to be top notch. I would place Trendler Pils in the "improving" category (he stopped dry hopping this beer with 'unusual' hops). He made an Altbier that I thought was excellent.

    Cheers!

Also Prayer Group - which was a bottle release - was great.

On a separate but related note, yesterday for lunch I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas in mole sauce and I thought it was very good - excellent. This is the first time I have seen this item on the menu.

If anybody is a fan of mole sauce I would strongly recommend you order this item.

    Cheers!

I had to look that one up (I am personally unfamiliar with it):

“This Springtime Wheat Lager was brewed with German Pilsner malt and a blend of both raw and malted wheat. Hopped with Hallertau Blanc & Crystal and fermented cool with Lager yeast, then cold conditioned for five weeks on just a touch of lemon juice. Lots of white grape, fresh cut grass, and a touch of mineral water in this one!”

A rather unusual sounding beer. I am uncertain whether Germans would ‘own up’ to this being a German style beer.

If I ever see this in tap I will certainly order a pint to try it out.

    Cheers!
