Shit, when I was RS and trying to get into HS I was blindly maxing out allocations. Don't give a shit, maxing out. People hate it now? Maybe it just needs time, max that shit. Second chance? Max that out too. Then after getting my invite I was still conditioned to max out allocations like Pavlov's dog. I'm not kidding when I say that I have a two year backlog of beer. I finally got into the shippers with stuff from October of 2015.

Word. I have probably 150 bottles of Bruery beer in my apartment and a lot of my 2017 purchases are still waiting for pickup in Placentia. My girlfriend has been not so subtly hinting that it's time to start looking into offsite wine storage lockers. I need to step up my alcoholism game.

I get around this by offering to cook dinners that ALSO just happen to be Bruery-suggested food pairings. That's way more likely to get approval than asking, "Wanna crack a 2013 Black Tuesday and watch Stranger Things?"

Ha ha, man a support group for people with wayyyyyyy too many bottles of beer in their place eh? Hell yeah I'm in! My name is Tim and I'm a Bruery Hoarder....lmao.

In all seriousness, I just moved and it was obvious how much beer I had to box and bring with me. A lot is in cold storage offsite. I ended up organizing it by box with either an 'A' for age or 'D' for drink on it. I'm not touching the A boxes until the D's are down....and I have like 9 D boxes to go. Seems to be working well though and im working through it!

I could be making this up, but I think several years ago they did something like this. I cannot remember if it was the un-barrel aged version or a short term version. Anyone else remember this from maybe 4-5 years ago?

A few years ago, at an event in the barrel house, Patrick was pouring unaged Black Tuesday and talking about the beer. It was interesting tasting it without any barrel character, especially since (if I remember correctly) the beer was designed specifically for barrel aging.

I do think with all the non-BA pastry stouts out there, it could probably be sold unaged now.

Opened my first Rest today. Nice. Very anniversary ale-ish, boozy and rich. It will be a nice one to revisit in a few years.

Black Tuesday needs the barrel otherwise it's really one dimensional and cloyingly sweet. I remember thinking it was interesting, but nothing special. Once it hits that barrel though...

Has anyone in SoCal found a place with bottles of the Cascade version of One Way or Another on sale? They said on the podcast that it was getting fairly wide release down here, but I haven't bumped into any bottles of it yet...

I wish I was at that level and this isn't a humble brag. I have 25 cases sitting warm on top of 42 cubic feet of chest freezers and a fridge full of beer. I tell all my relatives that are concerned that I don't have a drinking problem but a buying problem.

K&L wines has them on their website. You can have it shipped for free to their hollywood store for a local pick up.

I programmed a phone app for the sole purpose of keeping track of what boxes my beers are in, inspired by a 15 minute search through a dozen boxes for a Freckle

I have an account over at CellarHQ.

I like to tell myself no new box of beer can enter the house without being added to the cellar.

I also like to tell myself that I need to remove bottles from the cellar once they've been consumed.

...Turns out I'm super lazy and my cellar is a disorganized mess.

Yeah, I used to have a Google sheet for the same purpose and I was too lazy at keeping it up to date, needed something with less obstacles. Now the obstacle is entering all my beers, I only have about 1/4 of my collection catalogued.
