Agreed. I thought that beer was excellent.

Couldn't agree more with you. Being able to snag a case of it from the genny would make me a very happy man.

Yeah, I just feel like a beer like that would be a perfect fit for a cooler beer at the General Store.

I had to re-read you comment slowly to understand it.

In my brain, "Genny" only has one meaning related to beer.

Keith, I do not see an emoticon in your post but I am assuming you are joking here?

For those who might be ‘confused’ by your humor:

    “Trendler Oktoberfest:

Lagerbier 5.7% Brewed with a base of German pilsner malt and a restrained selection of specialty malts. Hopped with Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Callista. Fermented cool with our house lager strain and cold conditioned for many moons.”

    Cheers!

That sounds amazing. On a similar note (and sorry if this deviates too much from Tired Hands), but do any other local breweries make good (non-pumpkin) autumn ales? Specifcally, any marzens? Or, is this any on the shelves I should be looking for? I usually stock my fridge with Ayinger this time of year, but haven't been in Philly for all of that long and it would be great to find a local go-to.

    I'd recommend Sly Fox's and Victory's.

Stoudts' and Lancaster's are okay too.

    I haven't had Neshaminy Creek's.

I went to college in upstate New York (RPI), so Genny Ice was the favored cheap beer. Terrible stuff. Luckily Saranac opened my eyes to better beer.

Another 'vote' for Sly Fox Oktoberfest. IMO this beer is excellent. Every year I drink a bunch of different Oktoberfest beers and every year Sly Fox is the 'winner' for me.

This beer is available in your neighboring state of MD.

    Cheers!

@JackHorzempa , he says in his post he's in philly now, despite what his profile says. Now why not get back to us on the sierra Nevada winter pack 2017 page instead of hiding out over here all day :sunglasses: Love to see if you're still of the same opinion. Thanks

Jack I was joking, thought that was really obvious. Anyway, I'd like to try the TH Ofest.

And yes, I need to drink more Sly Fox Ofest this year.

Keith, when it comes to electronic communications is it not always 100% obvious. My practice on BA is to always use an emoticon such as  when I am joking or being sarcastic.

I was 99% sure you were joking but I was not 100% sure. Maybe if I knew you as a face-to-face acquaintance I could be 100% sure here?

    Cheers!

non-cheers to both your pedantry and inability to pick up on overt sarcasm.
