I do recall previous anniversary bottles sticking around for a few weeks after initial release. I agree, the inclusion of 5th last year increased traffic. A ticketed system is still the way to go, and the addition of time slots is interesting. Isn't that how Cigar City and 3F run their big bottle days?

 

Yeah the Anniversary beer does usually hang around, but always has a line for the first few hours on anniversary day. As you noted that is usually because of the inclusion of a limited special release bottle. Guess we will find out over the next few weeks!

I did not get to the anniversary last year until late in the day. At that point crowds/line were light so it was not too bad, but I understand it was CRAZY earlier on. Ticketed system would probably be a good way to go, but would take most of the staff just to manage coming in/pushing out let alone the staffing to do pours and sell bottles.

Time to clear out some of that land back there and make a big parking lot

 

New beer: Mosaic Punch

The brewery is open today from 12pm to 7pm for tours and tastings. Mosaic Punch, our 6.6% IPA brewed hopped with Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra and fermented on peaches and mango will be available at the brewery today. $18 a four pack | case limit.

I was there last night, Mexican Brunch was tasting great. This is the right amount of heat for me. Any more is to much heat in a beer for me.

Porcelain Saucer and Party wave were both excellent.

 

Any chance this IPA lasts until later this afternoon?

 

There's barely a line, so maybe. Currently hear having a pour of Mexican Brunch celebrating finally hearing from someone back home.

The mosaic punch I picked up today was canned 9/08/17. Wonder why they didn't sell it 2 weekends ago.

 

Not sure if its a similar recipe, judging by the name, but they also sat on Wiamea Punch with Aslin for longer than expected to make sure it was right

 

Could be the mangos. Know couple places were having problems with releases being too green and undrinkable when using mangos

I was wondering the same. Especially since fruited Ipas aren't know for holding up well.

 

Mosaic punch looked to be getting low around 4pm. They said they had more but they got busy too. Had a few pours of Mexican Brunch, man it's so good this year. Chocolate, coffee and maple bomb. Cinnamon and chilis in the background. Amazing.

 

Anyone know if there is lactose in Mosaic punch like there was in Waimea punch?

 

I asked them how it was when I bought it and they told me they added a touch of lactose to give it a creamy mouthfeel.
