What's the difference between a session IPA and a pale ale? A couple of marketing buzz words. :stuck_out_tongue:

Having a Daytime right now. Got a case in Roanoke, Va from Mr. bills for 40.70. Curious to try Founders All Day. I've been enjoying Daytime, but a buddy in Cleveland has expressed the same sentiment as many of you. Great aroma, but lacking in flavor. does anybody know fi the Founders All Day is available in Atlanta?

I wanted to love the Founders All Day IPA, but i found it to have the same problem other "Session IPAs" seem to have (thinking of the Stone/Ballast Point/Kelsey McNair San Diego Session in particular), and that is an overly bitter profile. I am enjoying the Lagunitas version very much, which comes across as a Zombie Dust light to me.

I'm a huge fan of sessions. I personally prefer All Day IPA, but its stupid hard to find. Day Time seems to be a hidden gem, at least in NW Ohio.

The regular lagunitas ipa goes for 9.99 a six pack here in ct. The daytime is 10.99 which is stupid. I like the idea of a lower abv yet still hoppy beer. I bought 1 in a mix your own sixer. It was good, very drinkable and enjoyable, but I don't understand why I can get a high alcohol beer from the same brewery for less.

I had it for the first time tonight and the aroma absolutely blew me away! Body wasn't there as much as I had hoped but for a low abv iPA that you could really session, I think it's wonderful!

under 5%. APAs are not for the most part.

Agreed with almost everything said. Crazy good aroma. Good hop flavor. Would like a touch bigger body, but I can't think of a hoppy beer under 5% that I'd rather have (I've only had All Day IPA once). Could drink it for hours. $10.99 a 6-pack here in DC.

The aroma reminded me of Heady too, but not the taste. I can agree with a slight watered down taste to it, but I love the stuff.

I always laugh when I hear Heady Light. My buddies love throwing that around.

I have a feeling stores (at least here in NYC) are marking it up because it says "Limited Release" and it doesn't have as much to do with production costs.

Most local shops here are about $10.99 for year round Lagunitas beers and I've only seen Daytime for $11.99/$12.99.

Am I the only one who thought it smelled like a dime bag and was just an okay IPA?

    Cheers!

Day Time is the best session IPA I have had. Really enjoyable and drinkable

That price seems a bit high. I grabbed an individual bottle for just shy $2 in Ohio. I would have assumed a sixer topped out at $11.

Give me Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale. Better price and more flavorful.

Those are both true, but it really was the smell that made me love the Day Time. The taste was only a fraction of the smell, but still good.

    Wow, that's a huge bummer.
I paid 9.00 for it as part of a mix six in Northern CO.
Also scored some Hibernation Ale and Isolation Ale in it as well.
    Can't beat that.
