Don't have any details other than its the 29th. I have friends headed over to Bruisin Ales to pick some up that night since they'll be busy on the 30th.

Any bottle shares happening around this release in Hickory?

At 10am? Prolly not  No evening before bottle share either (at least that isn't the normal Friday night activities for people) I don't think since it isn't a release at the brewery.

The shares are always great! Probably drive up in the morning then. Thanks!

Agreed, the share is always a good time. Hopefully the ORF release will have one!

This release has me torn. I was really excited when they initially posted the teaser but they scheduled the release the same day as Wooden Robot's next release. I'm really hoping they made plenty to last a while.

So I was torn as well. I was thinking I could go to the Olde Hickory release in the morning and then head to Wooden Robot to be there by noon at the opening. Isn't this feasible?

Based on the amount that I've heard is available, I wouldn't expect it to stick around for too long.

That's my understanding. This was a beer commissioned by Bruisin' Ales as part of its Golden Gloves series. Most of the beers that OHB has done like that haven't hit distro, with Olde Fashioned (with Peabody's) being the exception I can remember.

Should be a crowd in town for the o-fest at SN too.

I suspect this goes under the radar and isn’t crazy, so walk and don’t run.

@treznor lmk if you find extras! Need to have more beers when I’m back up in mtns if you aren’t traveling.

I'll be lucky to find any myself since I'll be out of town for the NC State game and a lot of my beery friends are doing a pub crawl in Greensboro/Winston on Saturday. I'm considering driving over to Asheville on Friday to pick some up, which sounds crazy considering I live in Hickory, but I really would like to make sure I get some of this.

Anyone have any updates on what it looked like this morning at The Station? I can stop by a little later today if it's still around. Curious how much they had.

Pretty low key here. #4 in line. Not too many people so you should be OK.

Nevermind, I didn't realize how little they had here. All the line numbers are taken. I doubt there will be any leftover.

What ended up being the limit at the station?

Awesome creamy maple stouty goodness. Mouthfeel is the king with this one.

Alas, my priorities that day didn't allow me to get to the station until 10:09. Tickets all gone, but I was able to snag a bottle from 2 different friends. Also, couldn't really drink a glass that early in the morning, but a different friend who did get the allotment (which came with a free pour, NICE TOUCH OHB!!!) who also couldn't drink offered to let me sample as much as I wanted.

But dammit, two is just enough to have so that it sits in my cellar and begs me to drink it, but then as I reach for it, it slaps my hand away Mango-style (SNL) and then ends up sitting there for years.
