Fort Point Market just tweeted they have Frost Lush in stock. Was unaware they were in a position to expand out of Vermont. Good for them. And us.

Apparently they have Half Acre stuff too now... Haven't seen that anywhere in this area.

I remember Half Acre around about a year ago as well. And for those wondering, CBC Framingham also tweeted about both Lush and Half Acre.

A lot of the stuff coming into the area right now, which would be considered new or non-standard distro, is based around events going on (e.g. Copenhagen next weekend). They did the same thing last year and am glad to see it again. Word on the street is more is coming into town next week.

I'm only a few sips in after a long ass day, but holy moly. This is killer. Haven't highly sampled their beers, I liked that Keeper wasn't a juice bomb but unfortunately it seemed to sit on shelves and always be really old. This is a juice bomb but a damn fine, not like a lot of shelf juice bombs

I'm generally not a mosaic fan, but the citra+mosaic+<insert pretty earthy/bitter hop here> combo seems to be a real winner.

I've only had one JW Lees that a buddy tossed into a friendly swap. I'd prob just buy them all cuz they're fun to try out and share.

Fort point has a lot of Half Acre cans (various), Frost Lush bottles and tons of Lamplighter.

at least last year, half acre's appearance in stores was only due to their appearance at a local beer festival, and there was some agreement that they could bring a number of cases to distribution. redstones, julio's both got them. maybe it's here just for the copenhagen thing in boston next weekend?.

modern times was on shelves for a couple weeks too for the same reasons.

Pemberton Farms had Daisy Cutter & more on the floor this afternoon.

Would love to see some Modern Times make the rounds. Picked up a can of 10-day-old Critical Band in Palm Springs last weekend and it was on point. Hazy tropical bliss with a clean bitter finish.

Appropriate for the season, Total Wine in Natick has Von Trapp Oktoberfest ($1.99/single).

Also for the brown beer lovers out there (my fav style for a long time), they have Founders Sumatra Mountain Brown ($11.99/4-pack).

I believe it was either $8.99 or $9.99. I saw at least a few 6-packs there. Was there last night and they were restocking the seasonal (i.e. Octoberfest) area.

Picked up some Sunday Paper at Pemberton, forgot how great this beer was. Picked up some weihenstephaner too, hard to pass up this time of the year.

I picked up allagash hoppy table beer and little brett at CBC Belmont. Those beers are every where, but very tasty. Does any one know the deal with Allagash Farm to face this year? I thought I read some where that they weren't brewing it.

I also picked up the Evil Twin collab with Jackie O's your in the jungle baby at CBC Fenway. Evil twins stouts are sort of a gamble for me some are good, others not so much. I was very dissapointed with Even More Coco Jesus.

Interested to hear how that works out. The two cans I’ve opened so far have been packing serious heat. I was not a fan at first but it’s been growing on me, especially paired with chocolate. OTOH, a bunch of Untappd reviews are complaining there’s no noticeable pepper, so this seems like a schizophrenic brew.

The stout I’m looking forward to is Epic’s Double Barrel Big Bad Baptist. Best shelf beer I had last winter, I think.

Any spicy beer is playing russian roulette with what you get. No matter how well its blended or mixed or whatever, there's no guarantee the distribution of capsaicin in suspension is uniform from batch to batch even from can to can within a pack. IIRC, Habenero sculpin has a little blurb on the 6pack itself saying that heat may vary from bottle to bottle.

My can had pretty much no heat at all which was disappointing as I was hoping for something mouth numbing. Guy at fort point market recommended pohjala banger and that turned out to be one of the more impressive chile stouts I had over the weekend. Very excited for Double barrel and baptista this year.

Evil twin did say that 1/4 the cans were going to be very spicy, and the other 3/4 were going to be mild and would be a surprise what you got.
Evil twin is also going to be distributing maple Bourbon barrel aged imperial biscotti cake break and double barrel aged imperial biscotti cake break. I gotta think there's just too many adjuncts in these beers for the peppers to really come through.
